does any one know about any good light bulb that will give me a crystal blue color  that I see on Lexus and other expensive cars ( what brands and where can i find them)

I've always wondered though if they were actually "brighter" and not darker because their blue.

Anyone have experience with them?

unfortunately, i dont have before and after pictures...since i changed my heads to PIAA plasmas like the day i bought the car. they are really bright though...really bright. i have some pictures of the beam at Yahoo! Photos in the Mazda MP3 directory

I have Xenon Eurolite. They are blue, very bright and they cost me something like $25 canadian for a set of 2 H4. They are DOT compliant.

well, I'll have to pick up a set. I've always found that the stock bulbs just don't cut it. I just gotta find some place online as no one here sells them locally.
So I need to get h4's right, there's not other trick to it? There's only one bulb to replace in each headlamp.

good thing about piaas, as APEXi pointed out in another thread...is that they have a lifetime warranty. so you should only have to pay for one set, should anything go wrong

What do you mean the stock headlights don't cut it??

I don't understand a persons need to change out the light bulbs on new cars.

Personally, I enjoy the stock headlights. I went from crappy RX-7 7" round headlights to these new 2000 technology lights and I can actually see farther than ten in front of the car.

It's quite nice really.

I say get the PIAA Xtreme Whites and a ZETA CATZ light system. My buddy has that set up on his Civic SI and it looks sweet. I upgraded my lights because the stock bulbs never seem to cut it. Also, if you're gonna upgrade the bulbs in the headlamps, I would suggest upgrading the bulbs in the fog lamps as well. PIAA also sells the Xtreme bulbs in H3's for the fogs. You may want to consider aiming the for lights a little higher too. ;) One thing to consider is that you can save yourself some time and wait about 4 months to buy a real HID kit by Philips. As we speak the kit is proces as low as $399, I'm guessing that by summer it will be down to $370-$350. Just my $.02 cents

all depends what your used to I guess. I've had quite a few Honda's, and I'm used to bright head lights. I find the Protege's a Little on the dim side compared to my last honda i traded in for it. The fogs are nice, but the headlights need a little more power

It's just preference. Sure the stock ones are "enough" for the average person. But, as Tim allen would say "MORE POWER" grunt grunt.

later
