Memo: You'll need it. The hole-drilling doesn't seem to EVER work, and even if it 'did'...the switch is still defective and it needs to be changed.alex_mathews said:Got a CEL 2 days ago. 900 miles and code P2006. They did the intake manifold drilling thing. I was told the same thing about it happening to both CX-7s and MS3s. I was also told that the switch replacement part is currently being manufactured, so it would need to be special ordered if I needed it.

It somehow adjusts the turbulence of the air coming into the manifold so that you get better torque at low revs....zoom-zoomhatch said:What exactly does the said swith do exactly?

Or at least that's what the tech said.
benzo said:The tech and manager told me that the switch tells the cumputer if the flap is open or closed. That is all it is...an open or closed signal. The flap causes turbulence when the car is cold to help with cold starts. I didnt hear anything about torque though.
You probably screwed up an O2 sensor. Did you hook them back up after the install? Does the new pipe even support the O2 sensors? You may need to get a sensor eliminator to fool the ECU that they are there and working.cu12t15 said:i just installed my hks hi-power exhaust in my '06 3 hatch and the engine light is on.....anyone know how i can fix this?
