Just wondering about that cause that idea is in my head. If someone did it let me know how was the result.

I think most people opt to just get an aftermarket grille, instead. Some people remove the Seagull and paint that, but I know that's not about what you're asking...

I'd imagine that the grill would come out just fine as long as you take your time to sand it down, prime, paint, wet sand, clearcoat, etc. What color scheme are you considering?

I have seen it on the mazda 6 club website and it does look nice. I myself would prefer the speedline grill painted black. Or the autoexe CF grill with plenty of double sided tape to prevent the thig flying off which i have heard has been happening

I painted mine. Did it all in flat black, including the badge, except for one body color strip at the top of the grille. Came out pretty good, imo. Just involved a bit of sanding with fine sandpaper, a few coats of paint, and a few coats of clear. Didn't use primer. A year later it's still holding up well. Let me know if you want a pic.

I've seen the stock grille painted black on some lighter colored cars here which looks pretty good. Personally, I prefer the AutoExe in CF unpainted for the best look, but to each his own.

Tony, I actually like the idea of vinyl so you can remove it.

i don't think the stock grill would *that* look good painted, as the grill is only the single crossbar with the M on it..I think it would look a little weird.

ive personally seen a stock ms6 grill painted the titanium grey color, and it looked hideous...
