Has anyone hooked up subs to stock bose system??

:
Mazda 6 S
I wanted to put some aftermarket subs in my 04 mazda 6 with bose. The factory sub just isnt doing much. Just looking for some opinions if anyone has done before. thanks!

Bose are normally good.... no..... great speakers, you should have no problems at all. For maximum guarantee get a deck that has an hpf mod, makes a hell of a difference with any speakers/sub system

the only problem with subs in Mazda cars, at least with my own exp., is the amount of rattle. I had to strip off my spoiler (then bondo and paint holes), hunt down airflaps and tear em off, and dyno the doors

oh really? mine is the hatch style so i didnt think it would rattle much, so how did you have your subs hooked up? aftermarket radio?

I play a new apline deck, 4 115w polk hardpoly speakers, 2kw mono amp, and a bypass bow with two 12" rockford P2 subs. total costed around $1300....and i dont regret a dime (upbum)

OH I was assuming you had all this in a 6, from my understanding the 6 Bose system is extremely difficult to mod so I was hoping to get input from a 6 owner

I've added subs and other audio to all kind of Bose systems, I wouldn't understand why the 6 would be any diff

because if the amp is not internal to the deck then there is no need for a line output converter. if its not internal the wires you need are all running to a place you should be able to find them. except for proper power and ground of course.

I installed a sub system in my speed 6. I had the factory bose sub and you can get splice into the factory wiring for the audio signal and the remote signal which turns on the amp when the radio turns on. I believe theres a how-to written for this
