I know its been a while since I've chimed in but I felt like sharing.....

So yesterday I a hurry to caught a light I floored it in 2nd but in doing so I snapped the bolt which connects the chassis to the mount on the Transmission.

I have the parts list from the Dealer ship :

common issue....let the stealership fix it then replace it with a better mount. not sure which vendor has the latest and greatest of these mounts tho.

Does the bolt have an 8 or a 10 on the head? This was a recall a few years ago, for the grade 8 bolt to be replaced with a 10.. Though some still had problems after that.

I think I'll be able to fix the bolt issue but the boot is my main concern, I have ever had a CV joint clamp issue turn out successful. I be damn if I am going to purchase an axle for this problem, The car is already in the air in my garage so I guess I will find a way to reuse the clamp or check with NAPA to see if there is a replacement unit available. I have the Dealership ordering the bolt , which I will still have to remove the broken bit in the mount......
