Hard wiring radar into dimming mirror

Hey all, I have a valentine 1 radar and in my old car I hard wired it to the cig lighter ... can I splice into one of the wires for the auto dimming mirror and power it that way? Anyone with experience that did this, would be greatly appreciated.

Try the cigarette lighter or the fuse box, stay away from the important fuses (i.e ECU fuse) there are a couple of threads about this, search is your friend.

He's talking about wiring to the mirror wires, red.

I believe you can do that, but you would have to find room up there.

Safer way to wire it to the cig lighter. It's easy and you can find my how to on it.
