Hankook Ventus Rs2 Z212

I am currently running a set of these on street as well as on track.

They perform perfectly for normal day to day street driving and do very well on the rain. However, the tire noise is noticeable higher then other high performance tires like the Toyo T1-R, Eagle F1, etc

On the track, these are very predictable but not grippy enough for my taste.
I drive on a very aggressive alignment on the track and with the unmatch front rear tire pressure, the rear wheels are meant to "walk out" a little in turns to eliminate most of the understeer. However, these tires do not have enough grip when heated so my rear goes out too much that it now requires a lot of corrections.

Hope the above helps. It all depends on what kind of job the tires have to do for you'

I run them for my street setup. They are very noisy at the limit compared to the Azenis Sports, but they are a lot more predictable at breakaway over the Azenis. If the Falken would have made the Azenis in a 225/45-16 I would have bought them, but Hankook had them and at a very good price as well. They are much better in the rain compared to the Azenis. For the money they are great tires and offer some good sizes that others don't.

Are you running more pressure in the rear or less? Running more will cause more snap oversteer and running less will cause a more progressive breakaway.

running 34psi at the front and 37psi at the back due to the soft sidewall of this tire.

I don't know how a different alignment will react but my doesn't snap over. In fact, i could actually hold a constant "walk out" of the rear end without the front tires making any noise at all(similar to a controlled oversteer but I cannot say it since it's not a RWD).

An example would be using the above techique on turn 5 and 6 on Infineon Raceway, CA which are big horseshoes.

Have these tires for the street, and they perform fine. Grip is decent but I'm also not a fan of the soft sidewall of this tire. I bought these tires at the time for the great value, but now Azenis 615s are about the same price (grrh).

Not a bad tire, but given the price drop I'd go with the Falkens.
