Hands Down...Which ECU Mod is BEST???

Hey Palerider, you have a lot of mods. Have you dynoed your car or taken it to the track yet?

On a low reading local dyno... without the fuel pump.... in temps around 40 degrees I made 265/299. The car felt sluggish and had trouble holding boost up top.... correction factor gave me a 6% penalty for all the wonderful cold air. Without that 6% penalty off my baseline runs, I think I would have been more in the 285/320 range.

Hopefully after the pump goes back on ..... and a day around 50-55, I'll dyno again and back it up with more than just speculation.

I would anticipate more performance than that with the FMIC, Boost, CBE in actual driving (which is were it counts). I think someone said that ETs and traps are what counts. I'll be interested to see what you do next.

And I show up with turbo, fuel pump, water/meth, maybe nitrous, forged internals, AND (drumroll)

AP flash and standback...

This will all be on my car by the time I can tune with the AP.

So...we can go on and on(bicker) ...... or you can stop and let me blow my damn car up this year...lol I just got a new daily driver, and Im determined to not be as conservative in 2008 as I was in 2007...

Between you and i, i dont know who plans to blow their block first... but like you, im ready to get some timing and boost adjustments made :) Methanol will be the key incredient to faster times and more power (smoke)

Whats the story on your pump? I thought you were supposed to have it by now?

Yes ,i definately agree that alcohol injection cooling is the way to go these days and cheaper.By installing a basic 500usd alcohol injection system, you won`t have to put in an unnecessary bloody 1000usd rip off FMI.Ofcourse if you are into looks and with an unlimited budget then skies the limit but methanol is the most effecient and feasable MOD on the planet when it comes to cool, safe power:-)

Yeah... I did too. Im VERY fed up with the damn thing. Ive been in the process of handling this in a different way. Money talks and I WILL have a working pump, soon, even if I have to start from scratch.

Drivers pump was in my possession. I mailed it to him because I was still focused on my first one, and felt unsure of his. Well I know what was wrong with the first and it can be fixed. Im still glad that I mailed the one to Driver... he needed one and had been having worse problems than me. Im glad his worked. Weve both been guinea pigs on this whole thing.

And as far as blowing my block up...lol I know I'll eventually need stronger internals.... so why not? Ive taken one in the ass with the pump.... I'll take one for the block as well. Someone needs to find out what this thing can handle..... and regardless of what my dynos say, my car is coming along. I toyed with a 335 on the way to work yesterday. Fun car even with the stocker pump on for now....lol
