what about integrating a turbo timer setup into the AP??

would that even be possible??

again just a random thought

i actually thought about this the other day... so much easier then wiring up one. what about dash hawk? im sure both could do it if they took the time and money

The question is, do you need a Turbo Timer? Since most modern turbos are water cooled, there is not a whole lot of need for a turbo timer. These came into vogue with older turbocharged cars that were oil-cooled only and if you ran the car hard, then shut the car off without letting the car cool down a bit first, oil would cook into the bearing. This is called "coking." Over time, the bearing would wear out and the turbo would need to be replaced. The idea is the timer would let the car cool before shutting down reducing coking.

That said, you basically have to run the car at redline at peak temp then immediately shut the car down to get this effect. Under normal driving this isn't really a problem. And since the turbo has water cooling as well it is even less of an issue now.

If you want a turbo timer go for it, but personally, they are a waste of money.

i have a blitz DTT on mine. It might not be necesary but for the money its cheap piece of mind for me. The install isnt that hard just splice 3-4 wires and mount. Theres a great write up in the how to section.....
