H22 & B16...

Mazdaspeed Protege
so me and my wife were cruising down Highway 6 just looking for cars to pick on! Next thing you know a bunch of cars pull up behind us and im like WTF? my brother and his friend are in the back seat and they tell me,''hey they're talking about you, that guy in the accord(90-93) just talked to the guy in the civic(92-95 coupe) and they pointed back at the car and laughed at you.'' so then im just like uhhhh ok. the accord pulls next to me,and just about 40 mph we punch it, 2nd,3rd,4th gear and im at about 120 mph,the accord is about 1 1/2 cars behind,i flash my hazards, to let his boys know who won.hehe.

civic pulls up next to me,trying to back up his boy i guess,i dont know. 40 roll again,2nd,3rd,4th gear, 120 mph again, civic is like 1 car behind me. flash my hazards again. let them boys know.

we end up pulling into a car meet area. both cars had had swaps. accord had a prelude engine, civic had a b16.

my car is completly stock right now and that night we had about 6 hundred pounds worth of human meat in the car. LOL. i was just happy that i had the last laugh. (2thumbs)

turbo owns all

the accord should have kept up with u a little better, but the civic was way over his league

JCell you need to join the dark side. Good kills, nice weather brings out the rice cars.

Some old turbo Eclipse tried to take me off the line, but had no idea how to shift. He revved it really high then pulled the clutch out at the wrong time.... car just jumped back and forth. By the time he got through first he was already 3 car lengths back. I never race, I stopped at 3rd gear... but it was fun making him feel and look stupid.

Actually that Accord should have toasted you, must have been a bad driver or he was in the wrong gear when things started. Because H22 motor is pushing 200hp we will say 180 to the wheels and probably about 150lb torque. You were already rolling so the torque is not really going to matter, but when the Second cam of the h22 kicked in he should not have had any problems. Both yours and the accord weight about the same.(Not including human meat)

honestly i thought the accord was gonna take me too. but i've raced several preludes before and havent got beaten once by them. one of them i was neck to neck with. but that was it.

nice kills (thumb) i havent had too many races since ive had my car.........a black spec-v, 3000gt, and a few more not even worth mentioning :D I would have loved for those cars to roll up on me like that............again, nice kills.

We need to go out and cruise one of these days......(wrc)

Not true, there are plenty of N/A B16 powered civics that would kill MSPs. Curb weight = replacement for displacement.

boostin in 5th gear with 4 adults in the car going 120 mph. WTF! im gonna haft to call B.S. and your stock. they must have not been racing you.

A camry with exhaust tried to race me yesterday in a 2 lane road with traffice. he even cut of some old lady on the bike lane just so he can get up on my ass. I drove like 40 miles next to another car, and he was on my ass forever. Then at the light, I took off and he tried oh he tired.....I can hear him from behind but i never look back...

if we could fit a viper motor in the elise that would be sick. hah.

that b16 shouldn't of gotten pulled either, your car has 170hp, and 4 people in it. that civic should have 160, and alot less weight.

So you think a 8 liter v10 would just be bitchin' in a lotus elise?
Yep, if you're looking for flat-out straightline speed. After all, these guys are talking about street racing.

Good luck on the first turn. Personally I prefer balance over brute power. Light cars are just about always more fun to drive over heavy one.

Both cars you raced had the capability to win, bad drivers i guess.

yeah... exactly.

im surprised they lost, their cars must really need some tuning BAD.

i love my b16 :)

you guys can call BS all you want. Fact of the matter is that i won. wether you guys believe me or not,its true. and i never said i was pulling in 5th gear. i let off in 4th gear. i know both cars are capable of beating me. but guess what,it didnt happen this night. i dont know if they're bad drivers or what. but next time, i'll carry the camcorder with me so no one can call BS again and you can see it for yourself...

it aint my fault them hoez cant drive...
