If I had won the ebay auction which is a legally binding contract for an evo with extra work done to it and was told the same thing he was I would be pissed to. Its the dealerships fault they didnt realize they messed up until the auction ended -- they should not take this out on MarkD. The car was "sold" to the winning bidder thru ebay and if it was sold prior (which apparently it truly wasnt) the dealership should have ended the auction before it closed - then there wouldnt be any issues.

Sorry. But thinking about it now after the fact i probably would have done the same thing.
I just wouldnt beg to get the car. Just go to a different dealer and get what you want.
