But the guy who won, did it in a rental car!!!!
Started out in a Cobra but it started to have problems in Nevada, plus the fact of no top made it rather cold to drive.

So they got a Mitsu Rental car and won!

Think just a Eclipse Convt. But it won cause of the great gas milage,and he misdirected the other cars away from the finish line

What exactly is the Gumball Rally?

Think of the CannonBall Rally Movies where people raced across the US.
Gumball is the samething where they go from coast to coast in about 3-4 days. Now all this driving is during the daytime, at night they stay in resorts or the playboy place.
Its about 200+ cars from Ferraris to Mclearns to other non-production exoctics. There are also Minis and sedans in it. Cost is about 50,000 to enter plus all the tickets you get etc.
Think the average ticket cost is around 200-400 dollars and they get about 3-45 of them.

So other words a bunch of really fast cars, going insane fast across the US.

you know i was thinkin about it, and if they get so many tickets, doesnt that mean that theyre license's will be like suspended/revoked? i mean i know that this wouldnt happen immediatly, but in the following months when the have their court dates, like would they lose their licenses?

Yes and No
They use fake ones, and lot of the people are from around the world. So once they leave here the tickets don't show up on their records in their native country.

yeah...for the most part the drivers are rich europeans...so when they get tickets here it doesn't mean squat to them...so wierd it seems like it just began...oh wait it did...lol...what really does suck though is that they actually came through phoenix this year and i missed them...when i found out i was too late...grrrrr...last year they only drove through az...and this year i missed my chance...crap

No they mostly use International ones. Where if you get a ticket you only have to pay with in a certain amount of time or you will go to jail and have the car impounded.

But maybe I should keep my eclipse if it can beat F1s, Noble GTs, F-50, and diablos!!!!!! Anyone wanna race?

LOL, well, actually for the most part of the ralley, most of the cops are informed of this and they let them slide. Only the dick cops pulled them over. Like my brother in law is a police officer in plano texas he was in ft. worth when they drove through, he said they were told not to pull them over unless they were doing and excess of 140 plus, and if they were to only be calculated as if they were going over the speedlimit from 140.
example 170 would be 30 miles over the speed limit for the gumball cars. Cut's down on the ammount of tickets, this is only counted for cars that have the official gumball sticker on there car.
