my mazda 6 loaner is doing the same thing as my CX-7! awesome. I now have a nickname for it: DEAD PEDAL. you hit the gas, nothing happen, the computer in a way deactivates the engine. its pretty awesome, it quickly instills fear in the driver in places such as intersections, highways, and stop signs.

wow.

mazda better get its act together with this ^%$^%$ fuel pump and whatever else is wrong in these designs

You gotta do better than that! details! what's going on? (uhm)

Interesting...

I have never had a similar experience with my CX7

When were your cars manufactured?

Have you had all the SB updates?

What has your dealer told the problem is? Have you gone to another dealer or mechanic to get a second opinion of what is occuring to be sure you just don't have a brain dead dealer service department who is guessing with your car?

I could see how this would cause a bit of tension and kill trust in your cars.

Your earlier post said your Mazda 6 loaner was doing the same thing at your CX-7. Well, what was your CX-7 doing? That's why I asked for details.

My automatic RX 8 was doing that same thing.....they do need to figure it out!! My CX 7 is fine so far with 7800 miles on it! See my new dash kit in Appearance.

Yikes, that's a nasty problem! Thanks for bringing that to our attention. If my zoom-zoom suddenly goes zub-zub, I'll know the reason! (yes)

I remember experiencing this with a rental Chevy in 1986 on the 405 in LA. "Scotty we need full power! Sorry Captain, the reactor is slow this morning!"

Shocked to hear about it on a new Mazda!
