Guess I'm playing guinea pig with coilovers..

:
11 Miata GT PRHT, 00 Silverado RCSB
I haven't seen one person on the board with the B+G coilovers, and I've been looking over my options and I think I'm going to go with them. I've heard lots of praise about them from VW and Scooby owners so that's reassuring.

I also wanted something that's going to be a bit smoother and I've heard the JICs are rough, not to mention their QC issues as of late.. I probably won't autocross the car, so adjustable damping isn't really top priority..

Anyways, I'll have these hopefully by the end of the week. After I get them put in, I'll give my impressions. We'll see how well the helper springs actually help, if they do at all. If they suck hardcore, then I guess I'll just have to find out the hard way. :)

Picture for anyone that wanted to see one..

I've seen them a couple places for 1200. Hopupracing.com has them on sale now for just under 900 shipped.

i was also really interested in these coilovers. i've never been disappointed with a b+g product, so i find it hard for these to "suck hard". but who knows.

i'm still in a major toss up between coilovers or straight up lowering springs. part of me really wants to dish out the extra money for coilovers, because i know i won't regret it in the winter.

let me know how it goes with these. very very interested in your impressions and likes / dislikes with this product.

if i don't get the b+g coilovers, i'm also looking at the tein coilovers, and the jic magic a2's (aka the mothership).

thats funny you put this here because i have been wondering the same as to how well they work -- i thought i was going to be the first --lol-- they do have a softer spring rate which leads me to think that it shouldn't be as rough as --say -- Jic or Tein --
the front rate is around 280lbs and the rear is around 224lbs --
good luck and keep us (me - lol ) updated -- i have been wondering about these for 8 months now --

p.s here is my car riding on modified stockers -- so far works really well --

awesome. they are great for the street! definately a good choice if you're not planning on tracking your car. keep us updated.

GAHH!!!!!!!

ok i called the bank today to figure out why my credit card (check card actually) keeps getting denied when I go to order s*** online.. My statement says I have the money, and the phone automated service does too, but according to the lady on the phone my 3100 dollar deposit hasn't processed yet.. So now she said I should have the money on Wednesday... :( I hate waiting.. I think I'll stay up all night tomorrow and order them right at midnight... :D

I have a crapload of other stuff I need to order too....

AWESOME! I guess the money hit my account early.. I tried again just for s&g tonight, and it went through!!!! :D I'm so stoked right now, I can't wait to get them... 895.45 shipped. 2 day air.. Unfortunately, they don't keep them in stock there so they're shipped from B&G, which means it's gonna take 4-5 days.. oh well! I'm HAPPY!

sweet -- im excited for you -- im really curious how you like this set -- like i said earlier -- this was the one i thought about trying as well -- so have fun and post up when you get them in :)

still nothin guys. i called hopupracing today to settle a charge dispute that is on my bank account, totally screwed everything up, but they explained why it happened.. it's happened to me before with an online purchase where they put a pending sale and then they post another sale, but the pending sale takes a few days to get dropped off of the account.. so you have the money, but you really don't... anyways... the guy there said that they should ship monday, and they have two day shipping, so hopefully i'll have them wednesday.. he said i'll definitely have them next week for sure but he seemed optimistic that they'd ship monday. the wait sucks cause they gotta put an order in from B&G and then it gets drop shipped I guess. soooooo.. still waiting. :D i'm doing tons of stuff now though, so i'm keeping busy.. building an amp rack and getting everything situated for my audio setup right now... getting soooo close.. and it's raining so i can't do much now.. oh well.. getting tinted tomorrow so my car HAS to be put back together tonight.. so i gotta get back to cracking down on putting this stereo stuff in. time to clear out the garage and put the car in there..

well, they're not coilovers, but i got these today, and they belong in this same forum. :) Wheels should be here soon too. :D

I was wondering about these also and have been contemplating getting them. But since I already have the spool springs I might just go ahead and order some illuminas to go with the springs. Unless I can find someone to buy the springs from me. Keep us informed on the coilovers.

nice to here -- well if they work out for you and if you have no problems from this company -- i might get them as well since its a good price :)

yeah, but you guys will have to wait until friday night for a review of how they drive. i get my license back on friday, so you can bet i'll be out ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL day. no driving for a year, and then driving with coilovers and new wheels and tires and all these mods I've done.. should be fun. :D

you might want to lower it -- then drive with the stock wheels still on that way you will get a true feel as to how they ride -- you dont want to accidently blame the new road feeling from the tires on the coilovers -- then if they are and do as you hope -- then put the wheels on and have fun :)
just an idea -- either way it will look kool as hell :)

new road feeling? Sadly enough, I've pretty much forgotten how this car feels driving it.. I haven't in a year.

I rode in it the other day, my friend drove when we went to get it tinted.. But as for actually driving, nope. So it'll be kinda newish to me either way.

Still installing audio, so I only have time to post this, but at least I have an update for now.. :D
