haha, i would have posted earlier but I didn't get a chance.. been rebuilding my computer, and now it won't boot.. so I'm on my mom's.. Seems like everything I've touched lately stops working.. humm..
They shipped with the helper springs on top, yes.. There aren't any instructions, so I'll have to figure it out.
Sorry guys. They're still not in. For the past almost 24 hours nonstop I've been trying to get my computer running. I didn't realize that Windows 2000 would take a dump and I'd end up spending half the day trying to find non-corrupt files on my hard drive when it crashed, and then backing them up. Trust me, I'm more disappointed than all of you, especially since I haven't really driven in a year and I wanted these on. I may nap for a bit and get up really early so I can get these put in, but I STILL have to solve my audio problem too.
by the way, for anyone that wondered because I know someone asked.. the helper spring can go on the top or bottom. I wanted to confirm this too, so I called B&G directly and asked them. They said it will not make a difference which spring is on top, they just ship them with the helper on top. Mine will be on the bottom though. I've already switched them around.
a helper spring is usually only to keep tension and help keep the spring from rattling and making noise. if you get to the point that you want to drop it EVEN lower you can take out the helper spring. (yes)
looks like a good system, btw. let us know how it works out for you.
haha.. okay, here's a dumb question.. so far everyone I've seen that's done it has used air tools to put them in.. Think I can do it without? Cause I don't have any air tools.
anything is possible -- i have about a 2-3 foot bar that i bought just as leverage when needed -- it fits over my socket wrench and most wrenches for the extra pull

alright, update.. i've been so friggin busy putting computers together, taking stuff apart, blah blah blah blah blah, reformatting... etc etc.. that i really don't have time to put these on my car, AND pack because i'm moving to South Carolina someday between sunday and tuesday.. so most likely i'm taking my car to a place that can put these on for me on tuesday, and i can go about continuing the stuff i gotta get done to move and all while my car is being awesomed out hahaha..
oh yeah, i put the wheels on just because.. they look great.
I took my car to a shop to get my coilovers put on.. They call me when it's done, and tell me that B&G sent out two right front parts.. Yes, that's right... AFTER they're done..
So I call B&G and find out what I can do and they say "if anything has been installed then we can't take it back, otherwise we would have sent another one overnight... but it wouldn't even get there tomorrow because everything has gone out today.." so I'm like "dude, i'm moving in TWO days 800 miles away. I NEED my car, and this guy put the stuff on without even telling me..." so the guy says to have the shop call him and deal with him.. I was like "can't you just call the shop yourself? I have their number" and he goes "no, I was busy with something else right now." fine... **** him.. so I hang up..
I call the shop back, and the manager has left.. he was the one I had talked to.. UGH.. so i asked if they had his phone number or something cause I HAD to get in touch with him.. so they say no.. fine.. i hang up.. I called back a couple hours later and asked who it was that worked on my car because I had forgotten if it was the front or rear.. so I get this guy's phone number and he can barely speak english.. and he tells me it was the front, but then he's all pissed because they gave me his phone number.. he was like "next time call the manager." and i said dude i'm not calling you back ever i just wanted to know the part...
ok, so i call the shop back again.. and i get some kid who seems uninterested with what happened to me.. anyways... i told him to please call B&G and have the front left coilover shipped to the shop.. i hope to god he does.. i really need this done.. cause i'm supposed to be moving to SC on Saturday, and this is REALLY messing with my plans..
yeah i just really ******* hope they send out the left front tomorrow and have it overnighted.. i was going to be leaving illinois at about 4 am on Saturday... now that probably won't be until like 1 or 2 pm..
worst case --- put one of the stockers back on and set the others to match the stock hight just so you can move -- i know you probly dont want to mess with paying for it your self but it sound like you dont want that shop to touch your car any more -- peace ---> good luck
I asked if he could put the stock stuff on, but he no because something had to be cut in order to put them on?.. hell if I know.. I can't even ask him what because he's not even there..
and no, i really don't want the shop to mess with it anymore.. but if they can get the RIGHT piece in, I'm going to have them put it in, and then I'll ******* tear up the corners with a test drive to see if anything's wrong. If there's ONE thing wrong then I'm goign to b**** them out totally.
