Does anyone on this board own this cool little gizmo? I was about to buy one today, but just wanted some feedback from other users to see if it really THAT acurate?

Has anyony used it to measure HP, and then dyno'ed the car to see the margin of error? What about 1/4 times or 0-60?

:D

i got mine from somebody on this board for $55.
i love it. it seems accurate to me. i always wanted one but could not justify $140. used ones on ebay are about $90 and you don't know if they work. the one i got had no box or manual but works great for a great price. took me a while to figure out how it works though without a manual.

Ya, I have checked on ebay and actually found a company supplying brand new ones for $94 shipped (box, manual, etc...). If you don't mind me asking what does it give you for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. I know what the stock P5's run.

if you get a g-tech, make sure you have your car weighed with about 1/2 tank of gas and you in it. it will be accurate enough if you enter the right weight into it.

Where can I just get my car weighed? I don't think my bathroom scale will work. :D

probably not.

see if you can find one of those places in your area that sells crushed rocks and such, and see if they will let you pull your car onto the scales.

Get the PDA Dyno. It has more features, and it lets you read off your stock sensors, reset CEL's, Dyno your car, 0-60 times. It is pretty damn accurate because you get to enter your car's specs. You can display multiple sensor readouts right on the screen of your PDA. Go check it out at Nology.com if you haven't already. If you have check it out, do it agian!!! (thumb)

Hmmm.. Looks VERY cool. Pretty pricey though. Does anyone know if there's software/applications for laptops? I have a laptop and really don't want to get a PDA.

There should be plenty out there. I don't know of any though. I know the Mazda dealership has the OBD-II program for laptops though. Edwin (The Man) used it on my car to diagnose my CEL.

Yeah, I've actually found some OBD-II software... Which is very cool.... But not exactly what I want. Let me know if you find anything. I'd be down to spend the extra money for the cables and software-then get the gtech pro.

Thats some crazy s*** there. Just wished those basrards made that for windowes CE and i would buy that right up!! oh well :0(

You mean you can't cradle your car in your arms while you stand on the scale?? I'd do it, but I don't have a bathroom scale...

Man, I just lost all respect for you buddy.

J/K:p
