Gt3071 vs 50 trim vs etc.

Why go with an external wastegate over the internal on ATP's previous setups?

And what is with the crazy power drop offs from the kit? Appears like they just ran it through the gears on the dyno.. Curious to see why they didnt do a normal pull with it? Fuel problems?

IMO 374whp doesnt seem like that much from that kit.. anyone able to get ahold of what their fuel setup is and how much boost they are running? I cant imagine it being more that 17psi. That 374whp could be achieved on the stock turbo running a upgraded intercooler, fuel solution, upgraded manifold, CPE, intake, tune and some meth. The stock turbo will be putting down more torque than the gt30 at that hp range as well.. Then again it is on low boost for that turbo..

When I contacted them they said this was on the stock fuel system with NO ems. Just a b/c defender and a boost controller. Im sure with PROPER tuning and supporting mods, it will make more power and hold much better though out the rpm's.

Good point on the fuel. Something seemed fishy about that and I'll bet your right..... fuel cut in the 2500-4000 building boost. They kept it up high where the fuel is.

Mrlilguys dynos proved that.... the stocker pushes more at higher rpms.

And external wastegate.....because of better spool, better boost control, and more "free" power on the stock engine. Only real drawback is noise(if dumped) and cost.... I guess?

So just the usual jazz with the WG.

What I dont understand about those dynos is that they show HP on one colum, TQ on another, RPM on the bottom and appear to be done as 2500rpm pulls.. on all BUT the gt30r dyno..

Where it appears that they ran it through the gears to get that HP reading, most likely because of a fuel issue generated from just pulling from 4th or 5th at 2500rpm.. Notice how it says WHP and Speed (MPH) but no reference to torque. GT30s arent going to be making the kind of high tq vs hp numbers we are used to on this car without a small wheel.. I would be willing to bet that their TQ numbers are as low at 335 wheel, hence the exclusion of them.

On a 2.3 no way. Im guessin torque almost matches whp. NO doubt about it. Small turbos produce more torque than whp and mid size turbos produce about the same torque and whp and big turbos produce more whp than torque.

Yea.. im just saying dont expect monster torque numbers like we get out of the k04.

Curious as to whether was a dynodynamics, dynojet, mustang? If that is on a mustang, I am 100% sold..otherwise I would want to see where it is making these numbers and what the torque looks like..

I dont know man... the ms6 that PG has been working on got 329whp and 394wtrq with the 3071r...

that was without the manifold or cdfp, on pretty low boost if I recall.... on the awd ms6.

On my car that turbo, with the pump, and manifold might see 360-370whp and trq well over 400..... all spooling faster with manifold and external WG.

We'll find out as soon as I get the manifold from Ken. It aint gonna be long now:)

Are those AWD numbers? Because that relayed to 2 wheels puts it into the 370+whp mark and mid 400s for tq.. But if that is on PGs car, wouldnt they already have a pump on it? Maybe not the manifold, but I find it odd that he wouldnt be running his pump on there.

Either way, with the manifold and some water/meth it appears that you could eclipse that 400whp with a bit of room to spare.(crazy)

hmm.. thread says nothing about the pump... Go for it and have your shop fab me up a downpipe as well, please. Send me the bill and ill throw you some extra $$ for finders fee/helping me out....

HP is a byproduct of Tq, you can mathematically calculate it.

HP=TqXRPM/5252

EDIT - and it's useless when the graph does not display RPM lol. I guess if you really know the car you could assume a rough RPM for some of those peak areas.
