GT25R Real Potential and Capabilities

i think the trannies might not bolt up but perhaps they can share the same internals

the ms3 tranny looks too big compared to the msp's

just my opinion tho

isn't there a part number for those trannies?

i'm calling mazda now

i broke all of the teeth of 3rd gear on both sides, do to high torque, this trannies can hold 250WHP, after that those transmission sucks dick in 3rd and 5th gear. thats what usually breaks on those trannies.

oh come on now.
it will go to s*** if you treat it like s*** at that low of #'s.

I've been boosting in 5th gear for 4 years. I don't even downshift on the highway...

2nd gear is what broke on me.

haven't broken mine,and I drive 15PSI GT28RS daily.

the problem is with the T25R Turbo, they spool so freaking fast that, that s*** cause the gears to brake, my s*** at 2500 / 2800 rpm its almost at full boost. with bigger turbos like the GT28RS have more power, but also at a higer point and RPM.. they dont spool as fast as small turbo, specially when you beating the s*** out of it like im doing with me stock Turbo.

Hey JOMO, I talked to the place you told me about the Exhaust. Hector Told me $ 475 for the Custom 3J-pipe Back, with a 3Dynomax Resonator, No Catalytics, Mandrel Bend . and for the Muffler Iam planing of puting the 3HKS TI Stainless HI Power Muffler, with 4.75 TIP. i have to buy that separately becuase he dont stock those. but im trying to deside between these two mufflers.

I have to say it.. That MSP its so ******* Beautiful man. Simple but sick ass ****. is he a friend of yours ? if it is, can you tell me him or ask him if he have more pictures of the car showing the muffler from different angles ? also if that muffler is loud out and inside the car.

Here are some pics of the vibrant to give you an Idea of what it looked like on my car. Not too big, hardly noticable as a aftermarket exhaust. Very quiet, but deep and mean sounding when you get on it. I had it, CWILL had it, and a few other people we know that aren't on the boards do also. Its a very very good muffler for the price.

Here's a site just to give you all angles of it.

If you still want to go with either one of the 2 mufflers you posted up top, I would go with the CF one with the burnt tip.

Its called the Vibrant "street Power" Flat Black Muffler. It is stealthy, but dont think thats another name for it. Maybe a similar muffler your thinking about.

I have the stock msp turbo, and i was wondering if any of the internals were upgradeable...At the moment i'm looking for something like say a bigger compressor wheel that i can just drop in with out having to make any modifications like housings and such.

To be honest with you. I really wouldn't mind havind the stock MSP set up rather then the IHI VF22 that I have on the car right now. The main thing that i hate about it is the intake set up. It looks horrible A. and B. it sits right over the turbo so the air gets hot as s***.

oops, I meant to hit reply, not edit...sorry,

You have the HiBoost setup I gather with the newer intake setup? The old-style intake pipes for the HiBoost went around back of the engine. A few folks had issue with it breaking coils.

It's a really not a good set up. I would love to have the stock MSP set up. How do you think it would cost to get a stock MSP set up?
