The rods are entering production for me next week. Final design will retain all factory rod characteristics which make it workable to a stock piston; tapered rod end, oiled wrist pin slide, wristpin diameter, stock length. What we have also done is gone to a lighter weight beam design that is closer to factory rod weight. So in effect all efforts have been made to improve the stock design while adding a ton of strength.
The benefits have been discussed in multitudes already - no need for a set of pistons, less intrusive build, factory piston retained for direct injection process. At the very minimum people will be saving at least $500 to $600 on any engine build. And of course, the rod is stronger
Pricing is even going to be better than what I had originally thought. Darn the luck I would like ten buyers for these rods, but we'll see what we can do. Pricing for a set of four rods will be $399 plus shipping. The price will never be as low as this ever again, and for the price you really cannot go wrong.
