I know someone here (1sty, 1stMP3InNH, ?) had a ground wire kit for the Protege/MSP, but wasn't making them for awhile. Is that available yet, or does anyone know where else I could get a ground wire kit? I doubt I'm able to fabricate my own, so I'm looking for a kit. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

I have the HKS one... Avaible at corksport

you can easily make your own kit.. a bunch of us here have done em ourselves and they came out pretty nice.

Here's the link that can help you build your own.

Don't get sucked into buying 4 gauge stereo cable. Search out a cable wholesale place and ask for 4 gauge Battery Cable, its cheaper and better.

You will also need connectors, something to crimp the ends, and if you want a really good connection, solder the connections before crimping and then some heat shrink to cover the open ends and prevent moisture and salt from getting in there.

I ordered 21 feet of cable and it was enough to do my MSP and my buddy did his civic. I think my MSP used about 15 feet of it though.

It took a few hours and was a fun way to get to know the inside of my engine bay. I have the notes, I'll try to dig them up tomorrow, they describe every length and connector used.

total price.. less then 50 bux. and thats Canadian $$ US = 32 cents...lol just kidding, our dollars gaining on you tho, look out...

1sty is the man. Any color you want, monster cables, everything's crimped and shrink wrapped. He's gone through a lot of s*** to help me figure out what I wanna do and accomidate me after my accident. Shoot him a PM to discuss pricing and stuff.

I have the SUN Automotive Hyper wires.

BTW, there is an article about grounding on the lastest Turbo magazine, Sept 2004 issue

send 1sty a pm to see if he's still doing them. if not, make fun of sti's to get on his good side and he'll surely make one for you

evolv: Where did you go to get your supplies? Would you be able to PM me your notes/instructions so I could have to go along with the How-To thread?

Thanks.
