I don't take any offense to anything she has said. It just show's immaturity. You are probably between the ages of 17 to 19. Am I right? And no I'm not putting you down b/c you are young, I too was that age where I knew everything. Enough og that though.

As for taking off the shiny black part of the grill, you have to take the front bumper completely off. You have to do that in order to get to that part. It isn't really that hard to do. I took mine off when I was trying to take the amber lenses out of my headlights. It's hard to tell you every bolt to take out, but if you get under there and look around, you will figure it out.

Hmmm i think u mixed up which black strip im talking about.... im talking about the one on the top of the honeycomb..... Take off front bumper?.. why? the whole strip is only attached to the grill..

If It is the black strip I'm thinking about you don't need to take it off. I guess if you want though there's nothing stopping you, I would think though that would make the frame even weaker.

MP3chick : I started cutting the honeycomb today and let me say its jus a b**** to get out! %$@%$@...... Well i ran into a lil problem and want u to enlighten me....

1) did u cut ALL of the honeycomb off? coz i notice that the top section of the honeycomb is caved in so its almost impossible to cut.....

2) did u keep the three tabs on the bottom of the grill or did u cut those off too?

Sorry couldn't get back with you sooner.

You have the use the dremel tool on that top area. Yes, it is a b**** to do. Like I said before there are areas that are impossible to cut with the hacksaw you just have to buy the necessary bits if your dremel tool doesn't have them to find the ones that will help you most. Keep the tabs on.

I hope your dremel has a cord or the battery will run out quick and you'll have to charge it after 30 mins to an hour. Then it takes even longer. Good luck!

sigh i havent used a dremel tool before.... I dont even know what bit to get for that job.... MP3chick any pointers on that one?

Well, I think it would be best for you to go to Home Depot or where ever you got the Dremel tool from and take in the grill and talk with someone there to help you figure which bits would be best. There are many different grits and sizes.

I don't know what yours looks like and just safer to have you do that, plus you learn first hand about the dremel and bits.
