Titanium Gray 5 door, ABS, Xenon, Moon roof, Leather
Hello Everyone, what's up?

I just joined, found this forum yesterday.

I'm picking up a 5 door, Titanium Gray Mazda 3 Monday.

It's been a tough process. I was looking at lots of different cars. From many used models to new ones like the Subaru WRX, the Scion TC, various Honda's and Toyotas. I came close to buying a TC altough the starting price is good at $16K, when you put some options on, it's out the door around $22K. I needed a small car since I head downtown LA and needed some good gas mileage.

So, the 3 really caught my eye and after driving the car, I was pretty much sold.
But the hurdles started to appear.
It seems here in California, Titanium Gray is a very popular color, not to mention the 3 itself is very popular too. And with supply and demand at opposite ends, there is a huge shortage of 3's on dealer's lots. As soon as they come in, they are sold.

I have a friend at Toyota and he contacted his counterpart at Mazda USA HQ and we were searching all over Southern California for the car I wanted. I even had a coupone from the Mazda guy for a great discount but since the 3's are so hot, no dealer would honor it.
My sister in law has a friend that is a car broker and some how, she was able to find the exact car I am looking for.

So this coming Monday, I will pick up my new car.

Exciting times are ahead........

So! Monday has come and gone... did you get your new ride??? (wrc)

Yup, I sure did.
I got my 3 Monday afternoon.
I even got a full tank of gas.
With gas prices here in LA very high, I appreciated the gas.

I've been enjoying the car, especially the AC.

I was relegated to driving my wife's old POS and the AC went out last year and was enduring a rather warm Summer here in LA. Not as bad as other parts of the country is what I'd tell myself so that I wouldn't mind driving with the windows down and sweating profusely.

So, now I need to tint the windows and get some better speakers in the car.

i got a set of free springs that we need to put on a 5 door mazda3 if you want them

basiclly we have a free set of goldline springs that need to get tested on a 5 door, we did a 4 door a few weeks ago, we would need the car for 2 days and we would handle the install and everything. Here are some pics of the 4 door- thanks chris @ spd racing
