The pictures below are of a GReddy oil catch tank.

This item is used to catch any oil vapors and dirt that gets recirculated through the intake system. Over time this gunk builds up in the system. With the oil catch tank installed, the gunk gets trapped in the tank and cannot recirculate.

Pic #1 - Oil tank used for 4 months on a 03.5 MSP with 13,500 miles
Pic #2 - View of the clean lines just installed 4 months prior
Pic #3 - Placement of the tank in the engine bay

Thanks.

not much build up huh? cant see any in pic #1, just the gunk in the line, not the fill indicator.

i'd get one if i had the money. it seems like a good investment. you could send me one so that i can confirm your results ;)

You better keep your engine bay closed cullen I may have to take it from you at the meet lol

Just curious but where did you install the lines? Your lines are really clean compared to mine and I had mine on for less than a month and 1000 miles.

any pics without valve cover? (did i miss the price?)
There is a nipple that is under the valve cover right in the illustration where it is circled.

The tanks are on the site...

Isn't the can suppose to be hooked up from the PCV valve to the t-joint connected to the back of the valve cover? Thats where all the oil is suppose to blow by

it works either way. that nipple is the cam case ventilation. oil does occasionally get splashed up there if you rev high. personally, i'de put it at the pcv. but it seems to be doing something where cullen has it right now. i wonder where the best place for it is? is there more blow by there, or the PCV?

i think he was trying to run it like it was stock. the line coming off the crankcase vent on the far right of the valvecover goes directly back into the intake right? the catch can is now just in the middle of those two points.

yes, i understand that. but if you look at dakinep5's uhm... p5, you'll notice that it is inline between the PCV valve and that little t fitting. i believe that it will do more good there because there is MORE blow by coming from there than there is from the cam cover ventilation.

installed my oil catch can today...i snapped a few pics (the clear hoses are only temp) enjoy!
