Greddy Gauges

Im thinking about buying 3 of the Greddy gauges (Boost, air/fuel and something or another). What do you guys think about their gauges? And do I want electronic or mechanical. I'm new to the "gauge" thing! Any input appreciated, thanks!

get mechanical, also if your getting 3 gauges i would make the third an egt gauge, if you plan on really tuning your car youll need that. i personally have autometer phantom gauges. they work ok, i like how the backlight matches the orange color of the stock gauge cluster too.

Arent all the greddy gauges electronic? Im about to get the greddy boost, egt, and oil press gauge soon.

no, all greddy guages are not elec.

there is no advantage to mechanical guages other than a boost guage. just a simple vaccume line tap, that's all. the rest of the mech guages are dangerous when in-cabin.

i'de say go electric and get the PHW meters. they will give you a peak reading and a warning when approaching a certain level on whatever you're monitoring. they have 3 separate parts, the guage, the sender unit and the brain. this allows the guage to have all those cool functions. disadvantage is price. i say if your gonna do something, do it hardcore!!!

i have the same question
as u can see in my sig i have the elec boost gauge, one thing u gotta know is that they are really sensitive, just make sure u install it right.

I have greddy boost/egt/oil pressure. They are pricey, buy look nice. Also all greddy gauges are metric, so if you want PSI dont get them.

my oil pressure recently failed on me, i think it is b/c the sending unit was to close to my turbo, and the heat killed it. Other then that i am happy with them. Also the 60mm boost gauge has a memory and peak boost button which is really handy.

the lower is 60mm(boost) the upper is 52mm (EGT) the steering one is 52(o/p)

looks like he just dremeled the bottom hole bigger...Looks like the gauge is slightly overlapping the spot where a 52mm gauge should go ;)

I'm an autometer fan. Good solid gauges and good prices. The electrical gauges are a bit safer. Who wants to run an oil line INTO the car....lol.

I have the Ultra-Lite series. The silver matches the MSP gauges almost perfect and the orange bulb cover matches the MSP dash gauge color. I have 4 gauges, oil pressure, boost, A/F, and Volts.

yep, a dremel and exacto knife did the trick. Took about 5 mins, and IMO it turned out really well.
