greddy evo exhaust

ey to all you pro5 owners i have a question.. does anyone know if the greddy evo cat back exhaust sounds riced out or does it give a deep throaty sound.. and if anyone has dyno sheets on the hp gained please respond..

thanks
sean

I have greedy evo on my car. Below 4000 rpm, that exhaust is LOUD. But, when you rev it more than 4000 rpm, that exhaust sounds good -> that's my opinion :p

it doesnt come with a silencer does it? peace - chris

I don't have one but I know that they don't come w/ a silencer since they are not that loud.

From what I've read, the Greddy exhausts are among the quietest ones out there. I can't tell you from personal experience however. I'm also looking for a good exhaust with some moderate gains but it has to be deep, yet quiet.

the greddy looks silly. the tip is GIGANTIC! but when you look into the tip, you see how small the piping really is. it makes it look really cheap. but that's just my 0.02 cents.

I used to have the WS Apex exhaust on my 99' Civic and it was quiet like factory yet it provided the appropriate gains in HP.
I wish they made it for our car.

yeah that would be nice  since apexi is one of my favorite companies and is very reputable. They do however make the Apexi RSM/Speed Meter for the JDM version of our cars.

greddy is by far my fav no ricey sound penlty of gain to me at least. Doesnt look retarded and the piping is fine you want some back pressure unless your runnign turbo. 2.5 it a good size for piping. IF you can import and topspeed for our car i will recommend that most of all.

most people don't shine lights into their tailpipe. it be jus' fo' decorashun, mang!

you don't need to shine a light into it. you can see it during the day! the 2.25" piping is in plain view. the tip is giant. look into the tip. you'll see what i'm talking about. i saw it as i was driving behind a p5 in AZ that had a greddy. it's really quiet! it really is. the quality is great. the welds rival that of the racing beat. but just seeing it as i was driving behind it made me think of the ricers who have a GIANT tip wrapped around a tiny stock tip. that's just what it reminds me of. sorry...

It could be b/c they are old, Greddy is introuducing is new line of exhaust systems I think they are called the EVO 2 it is a
redesigned and improved version of the original EVO system.

yea as well as the kit had been out and it now more widly accessed i was one of the first to the exhaust for our car i must say i will always stay with greddy or topspeed.

And i paid 560 to get it eariler

the evo2 are supposed to be louder than the original. that's what a guy at a local shop said. i'm just really partial to the racing beat. if i had the money, i would have sprung for the JIC, but alas, no money.

Oh yeah....I have the Greddy on my car and it sounds great, not "Civicy" at all. The tip looks enormous off the car but on the car it looks better....fits the bumper cutout very well. Quality of the product is also very very good.
