damnit do you have to get the o2 modifier for the emanage to work it dosnt make since to me because the emanage is supposed to tell the ecu what to do if someone one could explain i would apretiate it
yes, this is what spoolinmp3 and orangezoom have said, and of course orangezoom has it running on his car right now working perfectly...the problem is that the ecu will automatically try to override the settings it has being input from the emanage in open loop (this is what i gather from all of the research i have done on our ecu and the emanage), so the O2 modifier tells the ecu that it is in closed loop so that you can continue to tune your car the way that you want and it will not fight against you....(someone correct me if i am wrong, but this is the way i understand it) so in short, you do have to have the O2 modifier to get the emanage to work....

just wanted to update you guys, it doesn't look like i am going to get everything in before the weekend unless a miracle happens, so this will be bumped up next week when they come in...

got my pressure sensor in today, and the rest of the parts will be coming in this week, so i am bumping this up for you guys...

i just got done setting the dip switches inside the Emanage along with the rotary switches....

i will be doing some initial wiring while i am waiting for the rest of it to come in over the next couple of days...

The Emanage will be going in by this weekend, possibly before if i have time and get the parts in...i am excited!!!!! :)

got all of the pre-wiring done tonight, if my wideband gets here tomorrow, then the emanage will go in...i am still waiting on the O2 modifier from Essential Speed, which is starting to tick me off...(bike) this is the main component that i need so that this thing will work properly and i can begin tuning. i will keep everyone posted...(2thumbs)

anyone know if this knock sensor actually works on our cars? http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/special_adaptors/knock_sensor_adapter_1_wires_translated.jpg

they are only 20 bucks so it seems like a good deal, not sure how you can see the info though, I guess if you have the E01 maybe??

this seems like a bad idea to me, since we need the active knock/timing retard feature to work properly on our cars...this adaptor actually makes it less functional...

one side note as well...it will be helpful to pull your passenger seat out for the install so that you have plenty of room, i will be doing this tomorrow...

Awesome man, good luck.:)

I'm sure you know this already, but I would hold off on the rest of the wiring untill *after* you have your wideband up and running. It is always a good idea to get a feel for what the car does on the wideband before you tap into the fuel control. The MSP gives some funky AFR readings at some points, and if you haven't seen it on the wideband you might actually think something is wrong with your setup when there isn't.

Just my .02

No real need for that. I have messed with the wiring of my MPI like 3 or 4 times now, and if you push the seat back all the way, there is plenty of room to get at the PCM.

i agree completely, i was definitely going to check out the a/f's before i went ahead with the emanage, but i have time tomorrow and should allow plenty for both...thanks for the heads up though

well, i was thinking more along the lines of:

1. it will give me plenty of room...

2. i will be mounting the emanage under the passenger seat...
