Hi all, I just purchased a 2006 5 Touring automatic at auction last night. As my name suggests this is my second 5 I bought a 2007 5 Sport manual brand new in 2007. The 07 was silver and was destroyed in an accident. Though I moved on to a Honda Fit and then a Subaru Forester, I never did get over that 5. Circumstance therefore has brought me back to the car I have missed ever since and I couldn't be happier! The "new" 5 is a Copper Red Touring auto with all the goodies that were standard on the first year Touring. I look forward to putting many many more miles on her(drunk)

Thanks! I searched back and found some of my old posts on this board, I was here as Slvrsleeper when I owned the 07. I would like to perform the same mods on this one as i did on that one, I surely did love that car. Its sort of sad to see that there aren't any more options available for modifying the 5 then there were in 07 though.

not to be a stinker....(detect)but....if it is a 2006, the color name is CARDINAL RED.

The color COPPER RED was introduced with the updated 2008 Model.

Just so you don't order the wrong touch-up paint. (flash)

Thanks for that! I would never have known. I believe this car was involved in a front end collision at some point. Reason being the nose is in extraordinarily good condition for 110K, very very few kicks, scrapes, scratches. The headlights look nearly new as well. I was calling it copper red because in certain sun angles the color almost looks gold, and I LOVE it. I never thought i would buy a RED car, but hey LOL
