Great Roads

As the delivery date of my MazdaSpeed Protege approaches, I've been considering where to take it to fully enjoy the handling and power. Living near Boston, there aren't too many good scenic winding roads on which I can really let the car out. I'd be interested to hear any of your favorite roads to drive on in the Mass/Northern New England area. Thanks...

I can't imagine you can't find any up there.....My sis-in-law lives in Salem Nh, just north of you....we go there to visit from time to time...and all you have to do is head out of town and stay off of any MAJOR highway and all there is there is twisty turny roads.....just head out of town and get off the major highways....and have a blast.

You should drive down to Mississippi and We will show you a ton of roads where you most likely will never see another person, and you can really test your handling. We can also show you some gorgeous scenery.

look on mapquest for Pomfret, Eastford, Woodstock CT
Nice area, quite a few windy scenic, well paved roads.

Rough directions, hop on the 90 out of boston then in worcester/auburn pick up 290 south, turns into 395 south in CT, get off exit 97 for Rte 44 in putnam, and if you follow 44 for a few miles you will be out in the sticks in the middle of Pomfret. A 4 way stop and windy 244 is straight ahead, and "scenic route" 169 is to your right. Im sure there some closer, but this is where I live and I know there a TON of twisties around here. If you get off 95 north in Kittery Maine and go north on Rte 1 you will go through a little outlet mall town with lots of awesome seafood rest. and then you will see a few miles up ahead scenic route 1A and various other roads that go off the the right. those are ALLLLLLL windy and nicely paved and zip along the coast right near the water.........
