Great Mazda Pricing!!!!

My point is only that as a former salesman I know the "in's and out's" of the business. I know that ANY money over invoice is pure profit for the dalership/salesman. I want you to get paid, but guess what you're going to get a "house deal" or "flat deal" whatever the indivdual calls it. You're going to get your $100 for doing the deal regardless of what the salesmanager sells the car for. I also know that Mazda has a 3% holdback of full MSRP, not selling price. On a $20K car thats a $600 profit to the dealership. Not to mention thhe kickbacks that dealers get based on the number of units sold. That also doesn't include the back-end that the F&I manager is going to make on financing.

What this boils down to is that you're just a cars salesman looking to make a buck. This forum is here for AUTHORIZED VENDORS to sell products. You're basically using this as a free billboard. No'one had a problem with anything until you wouldn't make "special offers" for us. If you have a car in stock that is a "must-go" and the deal is unbeatable then list it on here....someone may be interested, but you can't come on here and try to pitch us your same old "great salesman" spiel. If you were a true Protege guy and had spent any time on this forum you would know we spend just about every third post bashing dealerships.

In the end, I have no problem with you. I have a problem with salesmen using this forum as a place to hang their business cards.

This reformed matty is amazing. :)

yea salespeople get pissed off when you don't buy cars from them, as if you showing up at their dealership is some sort of promise that you're going to give them bunches of money

as a former salesman I know what it's like to spend time working with someone only to have them back out (sometimes for no reason). It's frustrating, but every POTENTIAL customer should be treated like someone who has just bought a car from them. A lot of sales-people today feel that young customers are just not worth their time. I felt bad for the salesman that pissed me off when I was 19yr and walked out the door with $24K cash in my pocket.

OKay Listen up.. if you guys want some prices i can give them to you.. but you have to know what you want.. if you want certain features etc I need to know.. as for you turbo-matty I told you what i needed from you.. I needed a number to contact you at.. if i go to price out and am asked for a sheet on the potential client and i have nothing i'll get reemed out.. yes 100.00 over invoice i'm tryin to do all mazda fans a favor.. there's a reason i'm here and not another car forum. I try to help out mazda people because i think there is a certain degree of friendship shared between us all. So as stated before.. if you want a good price I can give it to you but i need some info from you to. It can't be all give and no take. I'm not gonna harass you over the phone, that's just simply not my style but i will give you a good price and will be willing to fax an invoice to prove what i state. If you know anything about the car dealer business as you said you did then you'll know that if i show you something and certify it's valid i can be sued if it's found out to be not. Anyway listen guys let's just stop the arguing.. if i can be of service please contact me I was not posting this for a huge debate.. simply as a means of mazda fans to get what they want at the best price with no bull in between.
OMG can you say typical car salesman? You obviousley aren't listening to us. Nowhere in Matty's previous posts did he ever express any interest in a car. But yet you still act as if he was some dog at a bone. Why would he want one if he already owns one, nor why would almost anyone on here want one since they already own a mazda as well? Which is exactly the point I was trying to make before. It's ok if there is another forum for this kind of stuff where we would only have to look at it if we wanted to.

I was looking at some of your old posts, most of which are a sales pitches.
"I can answer any questions pertaining to mazda's line up" etc etc. I actually saw one where there was some content in the post intending to help people, it was a thread telling people you can answer questions pertaining to warranty information.

This is where you need to listen up closely. We can see right through you. You have at this time about 20 posts, 90% of which pertain to selling something. It's obvious that you are not on this board because you want a)help other members without anything in it for yourself b)support this site by becoming an authorized vendor(in which case it would be ok to post something like this)

You should now consider some options
1) Talk with the mods about becoming an authorized vendor.
2) Become a contributing member of this community, help people, share your stories, do write-up's, make how to's. Then after a couple hundred posts and pictures make this pitch once more and you will come off as a friend helping someone out and not somebody trying to make a quick buck.

If you think this is asking too much of your time then your time isn't worth it to us.

Okay then!

Okay then, if you guys don't think i'm being real then i'll be as real as i can. Now without sounding like i'm trying to be a "typical" car salesman. I sincerely doubt any of you have dealt with me as stated prior, and if you had then you'd realize i don't just leave when there's no sale.. I do follow up and try to do what i can to get you the car you want.. yeah i know.. that sounds like salesman crap but lets be real here I am in fact a salesman.. I'm trying to do all of you a favor here.. not try to take advantage of any of you. but listen if you don't want the favor or help then that's fine don't take advantage of it but please by all means don't sit here and bash me when all i'm trying to do is help.

you sure its not because you sell mazdas?

As per what Matt just said. I, myself, am only 21. I also know what it's like to be ignored.. hence why when i bought my car from the dealership i now work for i promised never to ignore anyone for any reason.. I do admit at times i've been drawn away from customers to accomplish other tasks that had to be done immediately but i've still always followed up and always did my best to make contact. Unfortunately this isn't a perfect world and if i've offended any of you with this post then i do apologize.. I'm just simply trying to do something different. My apologies.

dude i've met this guy and he quit helping/talkin to me when i didnt buy a car from him.
Please inform me a little more as to what happened. There might have been situations out of my control or a simple misunderstanding. I always make it a point to never give up and always try to keep helping people.

Skillet I think you may have the wrong dealership. We have two browns mazda's within about 20 miles of each other. One is in fairfax city off of 50 and the other one is in alexandria off of route 1. We also don't have any gary's in service here.. I hope you have the right guy, if not then i do apologize, i'm still new at this just trying to make a good impression. Also, I've ownd an MSP since October and bought it here at alexandria... Our guys here are different from fair fax.. we try to help everyone.. believe me your story of fair fax is not the first i've heard.

I DID express interest in a 2004 Mazda 3S....blue on blue with cloth, 5-spd, no nav....I asked for a price, got the typical salesman "call me and chat" BS. Not against you man, but I get real good ewals locally. If you can beat my local deal then I will buy from you. IF you can beat my best deal then I'm sold....that's it. I'll drive/ fly cross country to save $100. It's a matter of principal.

If you're going to claim you've got the best deals you have to back it up. $100 OVER invoice isn't going to cut it on anything except maybe a mazdaspeed Miata.

This thread makes me laugh. Here we have 3 pages of bickering. Another page has been shut down by admin, and yet another page on the same topic has several people that seem to actually be getting helped. Personaly I don't care if he makes an offer, I just think it should be in the correct forum.

but you are studying psychology at gmu. :) sorry i'm bad w/ names, i mainly deal w/ greg harmon... dun try to tell me i have the wrong dealership when u kno i kno that u study @ gmu and that greg harmon does work there.

edit: dude whatever i dun care anymore.. have fun selling ur mazda mr. elite mazdaseller.

No I don't study at GMU i'm fresh down here in va from philadelphia, really I think you have the wrong guy/dealership there are no gregs here... but there are @ fairfax city store.

We can make deals on proteges because there are still some available. You might not see them online but believe me i wouldn't try to pedal something i couldn't get. I have about 5 MSP's in Sunlight Silver and 5 in Titanium Gray. Actually working on getting one 2 people here from the forums their msp's this week.

here's my opinion.

i'm a salesman as well. i posted the 2 speeds my dealership had at a good price...but that was a WHILE back...now i'm also a ProMazda member, and a regular poster on the forum. i'm not here just to make a buck. most people here know what i do...(i hope)...and if someone's looking for a car, they can come to me...i'm not gonna advertise like this. if someone's buying...i'll try to help them get the best deal they can...since we are car salesmen, we know all the tricks and bulls*** dealers pull...so if i can help someone on here save $$, i'll do all i can. your dealership has all kinds of advertising money...if they wanted, they could become a site sponsor...so, not only does it help out your sales/service/parts depts, but you give something back to the community. maybe you should check into that.

if i were you, i'd post my job in my profile...if you see someone posting about buying a car or prices, etc...let them know what you do and offer all the help/advice possible. don't just come here in search of business.

just my opinion.
