multiple threads about the same topic is against forum rules. Just make one big thread in the "For Sale " section. Thanks.
Holy Cow !?!?!

Is this the new and improve Turbo Matty P. Helping instead of flaming?(attn)

nope, i'm still an ass....just trying to save the new guy from someone like me.....I'm apparently the only jackass on the forum. Everyone else is a saint!

Enry, Antoine, and other moderators. I think input from members on this kind of thread should be investigated.

I for one don't want this board turned into some kind of autotrader advertisement site where any dealer from wherever can advetise their fabulous prices and great selection.

Nothing against you DjElement or your dealership. I think it would be fine to have threads like this so long as the posters are authorized vendors.

Also it would be good if there were a separate forum for these posts and they didn't show up on the most recent posts sidebar.

This way only members actively looking for cars to buy see the threads and they also know where to go to look at said threads

I think it would be different had DJelement gotten on here and said

" Hey guys, I work at a dealership and I wanted to tell you that we're clearing out our MSP's....anyone that wants one can get it for $15,775+ttl....I have 3 left, let me know."

That would be a member actually selling something. However, authorized vendors are allowed to maintain a virtual store front like DJ is trying to do. I agree with Malicha8.

My basic view is, if you don't want to read this post you didn't have to and the active members seeking new vehicles will view this.. Why would you actively choose to view something you had no interest in? negative feedback like this is another common problem of forums which needs to be ironed out, I'm simply a car guy trying to help everyone else out with kickass deals.. and as for what i'm talking about.. how about 100 dollars over invoice price.. now it looks more like i'm giving away then trying to "sell and pressure" doesn't it. Please if you're actively looking for a vehicle i can honor the deal i just spoke about.. Contact me!

First off...With a thread title like "Great Mazda Pricing" being pretty generic in general, I think most people will click on it to see what it is about. Secondly, and I think more importantly, how many people do you really think will go to another area to buy a car for about the same price they can get one for locally? Personally, unless you were taking aboout 3K off of actual invoice cost, it would not be worth the trouble.

I agree that dealerships coming on here saying they have great deals is not needed. Offering a car, such as the MSP, for an outstanding price and be willing to state that price to members would be excusable, but not such a general advertisement for their dealership.

BTW, you are a car salesman, plain and simple! Don't try to jazz it up by saying Product Specialist! 99% of the people on this forum know more about the Mazda products than the salepeople that sold them the car.

lol...i sold at a mazda dealership and never listed anything like this...now i'm at a Ford/Chevy (no flaming please) dealership and still don't do this. not that it's wrong...but to help the guy out...at $100 over invoice, he ain't makin s***...so let him make his post...he's obviously just trying to help people out.

Most of us make our choices to look at actively viewed threads based on the title of the thread. Now "Great Mazda Pricing", is a little ambiguous. When I saw it I could have interpreted it as: new owner got a great deal on a mazda, lets congradulate him on his new purchase and welcome him to the board.

And my post was not in anyway negative. It may have been to you because it wasn't the kind of feedback you were expecting. I was simply giving my opinion to the moderators on a type of thread we have not really encountered on the board(ie threads from dealerships) very often. I'm just giving the mods a heads up on how I think we should deal with threads like this in order to get potential problems "ironed out" before they get bigger.

Read more like "don't try to fancy it up boy, your joe DIRT"

Sorry I just love that movie

$100 OVER invoice isn't a deal at all. I just priced a new RX-8 and could get one before TTL for $240 UNDER invoice.....that in my same state....9 miles own the road. No'one on here is bashing you. We're trying to keep this from becoming a salesman whorehouse....

Not to piss you off, but I used to sell mazda's. EVERY salesman has great deals and pricing. EVERY salesman is going to work harder than the next guy and EVERY salesman is a "car guy". Truth is I know more about the product than the local "stealership" here does. It's sad, but true.

If you want to offer someone a car for a SET IN STONE price than that is a different story. I never got a quote or a response back from you about the new Mazda 3s I asked you about. do you have it in stock? Whats you're best price? Is it better than what I'll get here locally? Do you offer any type of price match promise? Give us some numbers.

<--------------salesman that's a car guy...i knew more about our product than any of our managers. and we sold mazda and mitsubishi's

OKay Listen up.. if you guys want some prices i can give them to you.. but you have to know what you want.. if you want certain features etc I need to know.. as for you turbo-matty I told you what i needed from you.. I needed a number to contact you at.. if i go to price out and am asked for a sheet on the potential client and i have nothing i'll get reemed out.. yes 100.00 over invoice i'm tryin to do all mazda fans a favor.. there's a reason i'm here and not another car forum. I try to help out mazda people because i think there is a certain degree of friendship shared between us all. So as stated before.. if you want a good price I can give it to you but i need some info from you to. It can't be all give and no take. I'm not gonna harass you over the phone, that's just simply not my style but i will give you a good price and will be willing to fax an invoice to prove what i state. If you know anything about the car dealer business as you said you did then you'll know that if i show you something and certify it's valid i can be sued if it's found out to be not. Anyway listen guys let's just stop the arguing.. if i can be of service please contact me I was not posting this for a huge debate.. simply as a means of mazda fans to get what they want at the best price with no bull in between.

My point is only that as a former salesman I know the "in's and out's" of the business. I know that ANY money over invoice is pure profit for the dalership/salesman. I want you to get paid, but guess what you're going to get a "house deal" or "flat deal" whatever the indivdual calls it. You're going to get your $100 for doing the deal regardless of what the salesmanager sells the car for. I also know that Mazda has a 3% holdback of full MSRP, not selling price. On a $20K car thats a $600 profit to the dealership. Not to mention thhe kickbacks that dealers get based on the number of units sold. That also doesn't include the back-end that the F&I manager is going to make on financing.

What this boils down to is that you're just a cars salesman looking to make a buck. This forum is here for AUTHORIZED VENDORS to sell products. You're basically using this as a free billboard. No'one had a problem with anything until you wouldn't make "special offers" for us. If you have a car in stock that is a "must-go" and the deal is unbeatable then list it on here....someone may be interested, but you can't come on here and try to pitch us your same old "great salesman" spiel. If you were a true Protege guy and had spent any time on this forum you would know we spend just about every third post bashing dealerships.

In the end, I have no problem with you. I have a problem with salesmen using this forum as a place to hang their business cards.
