Ok just got the replacement pulley in the mail. It has the exact same groove spacing on it as the first one. I have no reason to think that this one will install or hold up any differently. :(

I will give it a shot though.

hopefully you just got a bad one earlier. Thats what I'm hoping for on my ALT pulley but I still haven't heard from brach/medieval yet.

One very important thing to remember about the PS pulley is to line it up perfectly. Even if the grooves were spaced correctly and you put the pulley on too far, or not far enough, it will throw the belt. If your pullies are not in alignment, it doesn't matter how well they were made, it's gonna cause problems.

I'll say it again for some that may have missed. I noticed that the grooves didn't line up perfectly but installed the pulley anyway. Made sure the pulley was exactly flush with the shaft and reinstalled the pump and belt in the car. I adjusted to normal tension and have not had a problem. I've beaten the crap out of the car at the track and done high speed cornering (which creates excessive demand on the PS pump&pulley) and have not had an issue. No squeaking or slipping.

Yes the pullies should be recalled and replaced with ones with correctly spaced grooves, however, it will work fine if installed properly.

I agree...the products that are failing or dont line up should be discontinued and replaced with a proper part....

well the gear somehow contacted my CKP sensor, a week or two after i installed it, had about 1mm gap when i installed it. thats what was causing my high rpm misfire that showed up a few days ago. unfortunatly i didn't check it until i got home on the weekend and by then it was too late. two screws are missing and the other two are bent. and the gear is out of alignment. i have no idea how this happened a week after i installed it. i did loctite the screws and tighten them as far as i could without breaking the allen wrench. i was thinking maybe stepped dowels could have taken some stress off the screws and possibly prevented this.

i do notice a slight power decrease above 5krpms since i put the stock pulley back on :( once i started getting the misfire code it seemed to pull even harder up top. lol maybe the timing being off gave me a little more power. the number 1 cyl was running 10 degrees hotter than the other cyls, and thats the one that was misfiring. (dunno)

Ugh, and I wanted to get these pulleys installed soon. That won't be happening until this entire fiasco is fixed.

I really want to, just afraid same s*** will happen like the few that broke. Would like to see a list of people who have had no problems what so ever since having them on though.

I think this all might just be installation issues. But I know nothing about anyone elses position. I have the alt and wp installed and no problems.

Crank pulley has been on for a week..everything looks ok. Belts are tight and the pulley alignment looks good.

I've had all mine on but the crank, and no problems. I'm one of the first guys that noted the groove issues on the PS pulley. Just set it to normal tension and drive, it's pretty good.

any one has had issues with the crank pulley ??
I was looking forward to get these this summer but it looks like it will not happen after all.

Keep posting ppl.

No Medieval cp here - UR udp.......no probs with other pulleys getting along with it but I know that's not what you were gettin at.

The only issues that I know about the crank pullies is that the screws would break. However that issue has been addressed and I haven't heard any issues with that beign addressed. Other then people still waiting on their new screws.
