They showed up yesterday. I had no plans to drive this in the snow but my winter car needed a bit too much work to get it ready this year so I got a pretty good deal on these. 17s with Yokohama Ice Grip tires.

Sorry for the quality. The only camera I have in my cell.

Not bad wheels for winter use. :) I'll be putting on my Kazera KZ-R's with Pirelli Snowsport 210's this weekend. Was a bit hairy getting around with the little snow on Tues with the stock tires.

I'll post a pic up when I throw them on...

Yes the Tuesday snow event had me a bit freaked out too. I slipped around on a bit of crusted snow left in my driveway that afternoon so I threw these on as soon as they showed up.

I've got Dunlop Wintersport M3s mounted on stock RX8 wheels in 225/45/18. I'll post up pics later this weekend

BSTD3 that looks sweet!

You know one thing I've come to realize, 5 days into having 17 on the car is this....they SUCK. THe car just feels unstable compaired to having my 18s on it.

Thanks AllLostThings.

The wheels will probably feel "soft" compared to my Falken RT-615's. Come on March!! :)

Don't blame wheel size. You've put a regular old winter-rated touring tire on in the place of the ultra-high-performance tires the car came with - the lack of response and stability you are seeing is more likely due to the super soft tread on those tires than the change in diameter. Of course, that's the tradeoff you have to make if you want really good winter traction.

Yeah fair enough. It's just that at around 75 or so it seems very light. Probaly partly also because these wheels are way lighter than the stock.
