Got the rx7 home!!!

just got mine this last weekend. i haggled with the guy and got a really good deal. congrats dude, i know that you are having fun with it. i am having fun with mine.

Talk about a super clean Fc and garage!

Man...You've got a microwave, fridge, pc, sound system and tv in your garage...Nice setup! :D

The last pic is spot on...Those rx-8 rims give a little of that "modern" touch and they look damn good on your 7...What sort of suspension upgrades to you have in mind...just springs?

Thx Antoine!

Well I would like to do springs and def some new shocks, I would like it lower than it is now that is for sure. So would I get get drop springs and/or coilovers? And my car is a 4 lug right now, so I would have to convert to 5 lug to run the rx8 wheels.

WOW that looks better and cleaner then my car and mines a 2002 lol
and u got a really good deal on that car, i would have jumped all over tht too

not to post ***** or threadjack, but here is mine that i got on sunday.

we are both first-time rotary owners and, judging by the xbox name, your real name is wes too. kind of funny. yours was from TX and moved to OK, mine is from OH and moved to TX.

if you're just looking to have a drop and descent handling then GC coilovers on a nice set of adjustable shocks will work.

If you're going for autox i've read that keeping at or near stock height is best and then the best springs to use are Turbo II springs on revalved Koni race shocks....

and converting to 5lug is a must do. You get bigger better brakes and a better selection of wheels...

Wow, that is sweet man, so clean! I wish mine was Turbo too :(

OK thanks evil, ya I just want a nice stance and good handling, I am not going to autox it I dont think.

I am actually going to look at another 87 rx7 this saturday, its a 5 lug car and I hope its in good shape. Will the rx8 rims fit the bolt pattern of that 87?

lol you're going to get a 2nd one? or is this a parts car?

if its a parts car, i need the brake master cyl (peep)

Sweet...Seems like we've got several Members picking up FCs now (2thumbs)

Keep us updated on your mods...A GC coil-over setup should provide the right adjustability for that "perfect" stance...with those RX-8 rims...it should look really cool! :D

Ps...I rarely play arcade games these days but while waiting for a movie at the theater a few weeks ago...I messed around with some games and I had so much fun playing the latest "Initial D" game (I believe it was "Stage 4")...my favorite ride was the FC...That car is bad ass! (drive)

ooooohhh. Sorry bout that. I had one exactly like his back in '96, and I ended up w/ 4 lug replacements...would have been sweet to go 5.

I think the RX8 wheels look outstanding on this model.
Maybe the FD wheels, too.

lol no prob...

The only problem i see w/ putting the RX8 wheels on a NA FC is the extra weight...lol we all know the NA 13b is already week, and you're just adding that much more rotational mass to the equation...

The FCs seem to offer the best bang for the buck. They're nice looking and relatively cheap. The FC TIIs are really nice. I got mine in January and have enjoyed it, when I could bring it out of the garage. We don't drive our cars on salted roads; so, they don't get driven that much, this time of the year. I need to get used to the engine, though. It's more powerful than anything I've owned, before. I think I'm going to need service manuals for the engine and car. I have little experience with either.

BTW, my car is set up for autox and does seem to sit pretty level. It has Zeal B6 shocks, which is way more expensive than I'd have bought for a car. I don't have photos in photobucket; so, here is the myspace address of the former owner showing the car and some mods. Look at the right side of the page for a list, some phtos, and a couple of videos. Enjoy.
