Got myself a MS3!

well, just received my CPE CAI today! cant wait to get it installed and tuned when i get my Cobb AP next month!

i was wondering if anyone could help me here? lol is it safe to be running a CPE CAI, Cobb Inlet and Forge BPV without any tuning?

From what I understand bogging the engine by hard acceleration under 3k can bend rods and break em....effectively a BOOM

forged internals are the way to go once you start modding. stock, you should not have to worry, although cars have blown that were completely stock...

Really?
I thought you only needed the colder plugs when you went with an AP...

Well, when you add the Turbo Inlet, your turbo spools faster, giving you more boost sooner. This increases the load on your rods. This will also increase your KR since its adding more air with the ECU trying to catch-up on the fuel delievery.

We also get KR cuz even @ partial throttle with about 5-10 psi, we still run lean giving us KR.

why no WOT under 3k

too much load. just choose a lower gear if ya feel like accelerating quickly

Going WOT under 3k RPM is a terrible idea. Puts a s***-ton of stress on your engine and can snap rods. Any unnecesarry loading of the engine is BAD! This is why 75% of MS3 owners blow their motors (just pulled that figure out of my ass). I don't go WOT untill 3,500 RPM and don't do any boost whatsoever untill 3,000 RPM. Trust me, don't WOT or boost under 3,000 RPM.

If you are making about 40+WHP over stock, the colder plugs will help reduce the chances of knock and can even net you more horsepower. The AP requires them because it changes up your ECU to adjust timing and fueling so the plugs are needed.

wow thanks alot for all the advice everyone.. im gonna try to buy an accesport soon and get it on a dyno. Would you all suggest going with what denso plugs?
