Yeah... I used VHT brake and Caliper paint cuz its still high temp and the cap looked like it matched pretty damn close. The other stuff i coulda used would not have matched AT ALL, and i really wanted to do this, it looks darker in real life and. But when i layed the first couple coats it wasnt great but once it dried it got darker.
yeah the wire harness was on there pretty damn good but i got it off. The top three screws are rusted as anything on a michigan car is going to be. The bottom one wouldnt come off so i went to pull it and it was rusted so bad down there that it just came off, so now i have a rusted screw that wont come out.
yeah if any of you guys want to paint the cover on yours do it. The color turns out to look exactly like the strut bar after a full nights drying and the heat from driving. I was worried at first but i just popped the hood after about a half hour of driving today and it looks perfect.
my question is you go through all that effort to make it look better and then you put back the rusty bolts, why not replace them or paint them black or something? maybee its just the pic?
yeah i'll be lookin for some newer bolts and working on getting the stuck one out. but yeah my first thought was that i need to paint the bolts or just get new ones.
yeah its basically the exact color. I forgot to re-connect the O2 and i drove 15 min with it not connected. But now its off after a coupole times driving and turning the car on. That lower bolt is really getting to me.
