Got Good Trade-In Price

The flames I drew by posting what I believed might be a helpful topic are one thing I definitely will not miss on this site.

I feel nothing but pity for those who feel the need to build themselves up by tearing others down.

The MAZDASPEED is a fine vehicle. So is the Bonneville (which better suits my present needs).

I doubt people where trying to tear down others, but rather in amazement about going from a MSP to a Bonne. Personally, I have driven an Olds Aurora which is the same as it and a seperate Bonne plus other GM vehicles and I would look at some many other cars first. Personally, after experiencing some of GM's cars, I'm amazed that they are still in business.

For your information, the SSE-i is the supercharged model, There is one here in fayetteville that has a pulley and full exhaust and runs 13.50 all day long. It is not a slow big car. But with 300 in exhaust and 150 for a pulley he will embarrass alot of the MSPs on this board with exception of maybe 2...

The olds aurora is NOT the same as the bonneville, The aurora has a totally different drivetrain. Has the aurora V8. Bonneville has 3800 series V6.

I think it has be at least a far bit less nimble than the MSP. To me "slow" would include handling feel, slalom speed, and how easy it is for the average driver to get the car around some curves quickly.
I know the 1320 means the world to some and I in fact think it is cool but to drive a lardassed,V6, front driver everyday compared to my fun little MSP would kill me.

I read my entire post and i didn't state the they are the same cars. I only stated that I have driven both and other GM vehicles so I am familiar with their performance or lack there of.

First, have also put roughly 10k miles on an '04 Comp G which has the Series II supercharger which is newer than the Bonne SSEI which now uses a v8 in the high end model (GTX I believe). I fully know what the engine is like. That's the best thing about the car but with the 4spd, you are only seeing low 15s in the quarter. The Bonne is a heavier car so I doubt it would be any quicker if not slower.

Second, it would take more than a pulley and exhaust to bring the car into the low 14s. Most of the Grand Prix boars show users running mid 14s with that combination. Did they even use the Series II SC in the Bonne or is that only in the '04 GP? Plus the Bonne or even the Comp G cannot handle like the MSP and the interior of the Bonne is cramped and the back seat sucks.

So, by that reasoning, this car is "slow":

I think this would suffer from fuel starvation after the first 1/4 of any autox track :) LOL Plus that thing is not street legal even in Wyoming.

15-16 is good for trade-in. If I got that at the Mitsu dealer I would be rollin' an Evo by now. I was offered 11K or so for trade in.

Did hell just freeze over? A Mazda to a pontiac? A speed to a Bonne?

wtf?

Whatever floats your boat I guess. Good luck, take care.
