Pearl White Speed 3
Hey everybody, just thought I would introduce myself and show off the new ride a little. Iam very pleased with the car so far and have only had it two days. Its a Pearl White 2009 Grand Touring model. I got the windows tinted today. Here are some pictures i snapped, its not a great camera but Iam getting a nice one soon. Questions, comments, feedback, suggestions, criticism are greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking! (wiggle)

Yeah thats my buddy, he was pissed that his girlfriend broke up with him and he basically took out his agression by driving fast and thats what happened. I would never buy my 17 year old son a $65K car lol. Anything to say about my car? haha

typo? or are the 09's already hit dealer lots? Interesting...

My dealer has one on order but is saying it won't be delivered until at LEAST mid September.

Or 2008 1/2 rounded up?
Yeah its a legit 2009, this was one of the two on the lot in Salt Lake. By the way, how do you like your Cobb rear sway bar? I was thinking about going down to their shop (in Salt Lake) and looking into a short throw and sway bars, then intake when its broken in.

Hey welcome to the forums, I hate you for getting white but it will be good to see another MS3 around.

Why do you say this? Does the front not make much difference?

dont meant to thread jack but, i'm also curious why not both sway bars?

it'd take a while to explain and it's late...

basically, on a FWD car, you want to stiffen up the rear. stiffening the front would negatively affect anything positive that would come from adding a rear sway.

i play on getting a rear sway and rear strut/floor bar.

Cobb's sways were designed pretty well to work together. The rear is still much stiffer than the front, especially if you put it on the stiffer of the two settings. Stiffening up the front is not inherently bad, and you need to get proper balance. I'm willing to bet that while the rear sway alone makes the ride a bit more fun in the twisties, running both the front and rear bar will provide more neutral and balanced handling for track applications.

well, another thing that i forgot to touch on...

it's a good idea to get both sways if you plan to autox it or something. you're right. adding both sways will stiffen the overall feel of the car.

typically, though, for a FWD car, you want to stiffen the rear suspension more than the front. especially if you're doing 1/4 runs more than twisties.

i myself would just go with the rear sway bar. but that's just me.

there are a lot of people that don't understand suspension at all. people with hondas that put in front sway bars and strut bars because they think they'll run a faster time at the track.
