Went to the valley again tonight.....kinda dissapointed at the first couple of runs. The difference between last week and this week were: No co2 spray, latest calibration of pcm program (flashed),
13 psi of boost all night, 17.5 on drag radials..........

run#1
60- 2.346
1/8- 9.440
mph- 78.34
1/4- 14.497
mph- 97.64

run#2
2.485
9.444
79.14
14.415
99.52

run#3 ---DIALED 14.30---
2.516
9.444
81.47
14.300
101.72

run#4 QUICKEST RUN EVER!!!!!
2.195
8.892
81.74
13.708
102.57

run#5
2.345
9.136
79.84
13.949
102.45

Runs were all over the place which sucked for bracket racing.
--On a very cool side note, the guys from callaway were at the track testing a Z06 corvette that they developed an exhaust and intake for.
They were quite impressed with what I was running, and were all over my car checking out what I had done to it.
Also we both had a good laugh when we compared the stock plasic intercooler piping on mine to another MSP there......Mine was expanded and had stretch marks all over them.
One of guys from callaway was still driving one of the prototype MSP's (testing for durability).
Also from the information I got from them......all the shortfalls of the MSP's were because Mazda didn't want to spend ANY money and callaway had to fight for what we got.

Oh all you nay sayers I will post the slips tommorow sometime.

Nice times...I'm going on Friday to the track here. Hoping the get into the 14's...all stock...maybe some more boost...

Congrats on the times..

13psi..Must fee really good. I am having an EBC Boost controller & MSD inline fuel pump and gonna run 5psi in 1st & 2nd...8psi 3rd-5th.

Acid...Would the GReddy Profec B allow me to do that? Run a lower PSI in first gear till I get traction, then bump itself up? I'm curious as to how that would work, because I was pretty dissapointed when I couldn't get traction at even 10PSI in first gear...

What are you launching from? With those DRs, you should get consisten 2.0 or 2.1 60fts. Hell, i think you should be able to get a 1.9.
Get those down, and the car will be a 13.4 car, easy.

:)

Also, the local 1/8th mile track here is Ohio Valley.... aka "the valley"

Yeah the profec b would do it..but at a high cost...

The ebc i am talking about is an add on feature for the mpi tuner. Around $100bucks. It's a 2 stage/step ebc. I will flip a swip..and it will automatically load my 8psi fuel/ignition map. And as street unit said..have high/low boost setting.

After talking with the engineers from callaway I have decided to buy a fmic......I almost thought about buying an intercooler and making my own pipes but my welding wouldn't look too pretty and I really wouldn't get the scamp done lol.

The Apexi AVC-R boost controller allows you to adjust boost based on gear and RPM.
Hey real quick man. I noticed a while ago there was a thread about you scamming some guy. Has that been taken care of?

Than you should invest into some engine mangement. The ability to tune your fuel curve and timing will give you better gains. Than you could save up for a proffesional installed FMIC with Mandrel Bends.
