The big stink isn't just about them being 20's but them being 20's on a scc. 20's on a 6 adversely affects the handeling of the car depending on the engine type. I'll leave that for another discussion i the 6 section. when you put rims on the car that are larger diamater than stock the gearing in the transmittion is also affected. the gearign difrence and weight added= increased braking distance than stock and slower acceleration. cars that have 20's stock are designed to that car by the manuafacturer. I'm not saying that you will die 99% quicker by drivng on them by doing it, but that you may throw off the speedo and odometer by putting the wrong wheels on. If the speedo is off then you may think you are doing 50 but actualy be doing 65. I know people with suvs who killed the power steering from chrome rims. If the original poster feels the rims are safe(especialy since he paid big money for them) then there is nothing in this post that will convince him they are bad till he drives a stock 3 and then his wifes car back to back.
