good cingular phone??

I got a Nokia 6820

I like it, except the camera isn't that great. But I got it mostly for texting.

If I could get one for a reasonable price, I'd get the Nokia 9500 Communicator :D

yea i talked to one of kyle's people he says moto sucks so i went with some cheap phone and ill just hope it works out.

when i get my service with cingular renewed in the next few months, i think ill go with the nokia 6230...some really good reviews of it and such...

not that much... thats just stupid, with the way technology is going these days in 8 months that phone with be a 1/3 of the price. I dont take pictures and all that s*** i just need something that keeps my life organized.

cowin the data plan is 20 bucks unlimited. ihave the mpx220 and you can get it for 250 with rebates when you sign up for a plan and data plan. not to mention its a quad band phone and can be used anywhere in the world. it runs windows and media player so if you get yourself a decent miniSD card its an mp3 player as well...plus digicam (which i dont use much).

well i have the ipod so putting music on a phone doesnt matter to me. Camera phone is nice for taking those priceless pictures but thats it, i have a 5.1 mega pixel camera. I just need something that will be a datebook and a phone book and will make and recieve calls unlike my current phone.

My last 3 phones have been 300 plus dollar phones and ive been nothing but dissapointed. I bought an ericssion because they seem to have great reviews from bottom of the barrel to the high end s***.

well im kind of in the same boat.

1) the phone is quad band, so it will work very well, especially where youre located. i happen to be in a somewhat bad spot for all phones, but you can double check on cingular or att website it will show you call area.

2) the phone has a great phone/datebook as it runs a small version of windows. you can have it alert you with a calendar sort of like a palm pilot. the thing i particularly like, and im sure other less expensive phones might do this, is that as you type in a number the phone starts narrowing down numbers and names that match that from the recent calls and contacts...so for example my moms number is 7241234567 and my dads number is say 7241234568 and so by the time ive dialed 4 numbers it has narrowed down the contacts to those two people. its convienant, especially if you make a ton of calls but might not have remembered to save a contact, which happens more than i thought.

well bellsouth=cingular and FL is bellsouths b**** so we get decent service. Then att into the mix and it works well around here ive already asked several locals.

i work for cingular here in nc, and nokia has the top 3 phones on cingulars network as far as dropped calls. and they go Nokia 6230, Nokia 6010, and Nokia 3120. but the new sony ericsson s710 is a hott phone and works great, so is the v551, and i also use a BlackBerry 6280 and they all work good for me! the z500 is also a good phone, it has like less than a 1% failure rate. The LG L1400 is another great phone. But for the money the Nokia 6230 would be my suggestion, it has the most features for a phone, it records video, has speaker phone, bluetooth technology, and also has a memory card in the back that you can take out and plug into a computer and transfer files on and off. but if you don't mind spending the money check out the new s710 it is more of a digital camera based around a phone. IMO i believe the razr v3 is a great phone but a little overpriced.

i got the z500 so good to hear about the 1%... as far as the s710 went thats biscly the gist i got from the phone was that im buying a camera. I just want a phone.

well that is cool, but yea since we've had that phone on the floor i've only had to send 2 back for warranty repair for 2 weird reasons, but both times sony ericsson sent me back 2 brand new phones to replace those ones that were sent off.
