Could be the cold weather? Never had this where I start CX-5, then driving and Carplay connected, listening to music (Carplay USB cable is known good OEM Apple), then Infotainment goes blank, no music. Then Mazda logon on screen...waits...then agree...then No Connection to Device.
Look at phone and its on, stopped at song. I unplug the phone, replug...wait...then it recognizes and fine.
Either this is Apple, weather, and/or Mazda. I have not updated the firmware to latest (too cold out to sit in a car and wait). But common denom is that this all started after iOS 17.7 and 18.x., as well as cold weather. My car kept in detached garage (unheated). Swapped in another cable, did same thing today.
