I've been lurking for a long while but decide to register today. I'm trading in my 2004 Mazda 3 hatch GT for a new 08 sedan. I decided to buy this time instead of leasing (huzza 0% financing) but I'm still kinda sad to see the old GT go.
New car is a 2008 Sedan GS in Phantom Purple (my car is epic lewt), and I've had it out twice for a ride and I gotta say there's tons of small improvements over my 04 (Stupid stuff like the color coated flap on the lower back door so you don't chip the paint, etc).
I was worried about the 2.0l vs the old 2.3l but long as you keep it in the power band the 2.0l does have some good pull. It's a trade down but I'm looking forward to some better fuel economy over my 2.3l (10l/100km on a good day), and a lower cost on tires (replacing a set of 17" is silly).
Oh well the car is off for an undercoating today as Atlantic Canada is brutal on road salt and hopefully on the road tomorrow morning for a good ride!
