Hey forums! I've driven affordable toyotas all of my life. I'm perfectly happy with my 2003 Corolla w/100k miles on it. I test drove a scion tC when I was thinking about getting the latest corolla. I recognize it's no top of the line sports car, but the 30 extra horsepower and improved handling blew my mind. I can't imagine going back to something quite so boring again!
Scion financing and pricing is stupid, though, so i'm not sold yet. I'm going to go play around in the Mazda 3s this weekend. Does anyone have any thoughts on which ones I should take for a spin? does it make sense to start with a cheaper base model and upgrade, or get one of the nicer ones? (It's hard to see the big differences between touring and touring plus models...). I have about 22k to play with.
If it makes a difference, I don't much care about trunk space or practicality, besides having a decently comfortable back seats.
