goldline vs. Eibach

well im thinking about ditching the cf stuff and working solely on the engine now instead of doing both cosmetic and peformance ...thanks for the props..

very nice drop with goldlines.
do you have any junk in the trunk? And how long did it take for the springs to settle? Are you still running on stock struts?

I'm looking at either Goldline + Illuminas or Goldline + HPs for springtime.

i had racing beat springs but my friend now has them on his wagon lol .......i have had the springs on since August, i would say around 20k miles on them, yes for stock struts ,and no nothing is in the trunk in any of those pics.

i personally use Racing Beat springs - I think am about the only one who does :)
I have some on my P5, though the rear sits so much lower than the front. And the front looks like the stock height. Looking at Tein H.techs now. ION would be my ideal choice, but they are too expensive and difficult to get.

btw... where did you guys buy them, and for how much?

I'm just looking at a few places to buy them
up to canada it is $160 shipped

jeff the owner of goldline was the designer for eibach for years. i demoed the first set of goldline springs made for the protege. i like them alot and i recommend them on pretty much any car.

thanks justin h

How come no one ever mentions H&R springs? (oh, this is a goldline vs. eibach thread:) - They seem to have the most uniform look with a 1.3" drop all around. Very nice. That's what i'll be going with for the P5.

I put my Goldline springs in last night... I haven't got to drive it much since, but I like how it feels much more now.

The car almost sits perfect now, I'm hoping they will settle slightly and it will look exactly how I'd want (not slamed, just no big wheel gap).

did anyone answer about needing the kit to be able to get a proper alignment. how much did yall spend on ur alignments??

I have not had a chance to take mine in yet. I haven't checked yet, but can you do all 4 corners on a Protege?

The last car I re-did the suspension on cost me around $120 for a 4-wheel alignment.

so its been a month, did you get it aligned? do you like them?

None of the springs available for the Protege really fit the needs I have for suspension. I don't trust coil-sleeve springs because their super high spring rates are mismatched with the stock Tokicos & they tend to make loud popping noises.
