Matthew, thank you for answering my question....congratulations on your enthusiasm! Keep up the good work.

FYI, I also plan on joining the FI world myself within the next 4-6 months. I hope I did not discourage anyone w/ their future plans w/ their Mazda......specifically the P5 clan as I feel we are the underdog. Keep up the good fight! I was just curious.

Dave.

No problem. I didnt mean to jump the gun at you nor sound like an ass, You got to admit this car really has no power, but it has so much potential. When I'm through, Its going to be a beast. As for what boozka joe said, Maybe a year down the line, i will look into calling lentech for a stronger built transmission, "when it breaks" But everyone has said time and time again, if you baby the car you wont have this problem. I am going to try my hardest to baby this car. I can promise that much

Good luck with it. I may end up turboing my auto P5 in the future, too. Right now, I'm staying NA, but there may be a point where I just say "screw it, I need more power" and join the P5 Auto Turbo Club. :)

Update:

1/14/07: Part 1 of this installtion starts

Gauge Installation
Pillar pod Installation
Transmission Cooler (Hopefully)

I will be taking as many pictures as possible

I love seeing all the enthusiasm for the turbo autos. Can't wait to see how it all turns out.

If I install the transmission cool will I notice a difference in shifting and what do you recommend as to flushing and what transmission fluid should I get my hands on ifi can't get any royal purple?

If you have the money I would say install it and then get a flush and get refilled with royal purple. I wish I had the extra cash to do it, but my tranny fluid was just flushed and it still looks ok. There was nothing different in shifting to my knowledge. I do know that you might experience some craziness right at first when you install it, because air gets in the lines. but it goes away.

you won't notice any difference....you should be able to find the RP, you can always order it on line too! this might help...

what's your definition of crazyness? and if I can't get royal purple what are some other good transmission fluids?

There is a place like 2 miles from me that carries royal purple. Its pricey though.

After I put my tranny cooler on I had some air in the lines and It didn't want to shift sometimes, and then sometimes it would shift right into second and a half a second later shift into third. It was just because of the air in the line.
