Goalie! scores goal!

Well for you soccer fans, if you watched portugal vs. england you would have seen the portuguese keeper score the winning penalty kick. not only that he also stopped a penalty with no gloves....quickly making a legend of himself

Yes, and then if you watched him in the final against Greece, where he came out waaay to far for the corner kick and let that be the only goal, you'll see why us Portuguese knew that the coach was crazy for starting him. Not that we dont like Ricardo(the goalie), just that Baia(goalie before him) was better choice, and Ricardo always comes out too far which is his major flaw. But I digress(sp?)...

Baia is old and its time to pass the torch. It's funny how you are the hero one day then the enemy the next. Figo, ronaldo, Maniche, Deco, Pauleta, Nuno gomes couldn;t do anything against Greece and the defender let the Greek forward get in front of him for the winning goal. Short corners are dangerous and the defense made a mental mistake....they scored a few times like that. anyways, I think Quim is a better goalie And Sergio leite from the under 21 team is good but gets no glory cuz morreira plays for Benfica....

technically yes, because then it's an autogoal.
I am not doubting you, but I've been playing for 20 years now and I have never heard the term "AUTOGOAL". We call them own goals. Funny how everybody has a different term for things. Let me tell you my college team was notorious for own goals, had we been in another country there wouldn't have been a team left.

lol, I say "autogoal" because I usually only talk about soccer with other people that are Portuguese cause I hardly know anyone that is american that likes soccer. The term "autogolo" which is "autogoal" in Portuguese, is what we say. so there you have it :D
