i'm glad you threw "most" in there. my grandfather has been a cubs fan since he was old enough to walk and has a few choice and colorful metaphors for "most sox fans" and neither he nor i is the kind of fan as described above.

i know plenty of fairweather sox "fans" up here now that they are doing well. you're going get narrow minded pieces of s*** like that in any city you travel to.

ouch. it still is and will forever be comiskey park in honor of charles comiskey. 'the cell' will work aswell.

in my mind, tearing down comiskey in perspective to american history was as if italy had torn down the great colosseum because it was 'too old'

granted we've only been a society for ~200 and europe has a few centuries on us but its just another example of how we view and respect heritage in this country.

it happens. i mean nobody wanted them to tear down chicago stadium either due to the sentimental value of it being the place jordan and the bulls won championships, but in reality it was a dump and would have costed a fortune to renovate (just like comiskey). besides, it was smaller than the united center.


at this time, i would like to thank the late, great bill veeck for re-purchasing the sox and not allowing them to move to seattle in 1975. if he hadnt, the cubs would be the only chicago team and there would be no seattle mariners

I, on the other hand, have been a Sox fan all my life, and watch the games every year. Win or lose, they are my team. And they always will be.

You have data to back your ridiculous statement? And yeah anybody would give "2 s****" if their team made the playoffs especially cub fans. And how do we know you have been a white sux fan all your life? Do you have data to prove this hypothesis. Look the cubs will always be Chicago's team. Live with it. And yeah some of us are fairweather because we expect to not make the playoffs. So we get excited and jump on the bandwagon when they do. White sux fans (the 12 that I believe live in Chicago) are just as fairweather except they expect choke in the postseason when THEY make it 2 of of every 10 yrs. The overall outcome is that both teams suck balls. Fin.

Turn the lights on and watch the Yankee cockroaches, err I mean fans, scatter. Up two games and failed to close the deal again.

Great game last night. Santana has a great career in front of him. After hitting A-Rod and giving up a base hit, he managed to work the count to 0-2 for the next three batters and get out of the inning without a run.

Once again, the Yankees are caught running down the 1st base line in the wrong place. However, I will admit there was an out at 1st base later on in the game that was a bad call.
