It's a bar and plate IC, 3.5" thick, 6" tall.

Almost 2.5 months since last update -- any news?

Yes. The project comes on and off the back burner, as most of my R&D time and money has been in the Evo X market lately.

That said, I have the intercooler finished and mounted, the IC piping just about complete, the downpipe is about halfway done, and I started on the intake.

This project is my main focus this month, and it's coming along well. The prototype kit should be about finished soon.

It's a customer's car. That said, my car will get one in time once they go into production.

Question for you guys -

On the prototype, we have a nice wide FMIC. However, in order for it to fit with the piping, it has to sit about 1-2" off center towards the passenger side.

For the production kit, we have two options.

Option 1 - shorten the width of the FMIC and center it in the lower grille. This will be a little nicer visually, but it will result in a smaller FMIC.

Option 2 - Keep it the way it is.

What would keep the cost cheaper? How much smaller is the core?

The core would be about 1-2" smaller width-wise.

As for cost, the price difference would be negligible.

That said, my goal isn't to make a cheap turbo kit. I'm making a quality turbo kit, simply because that's what the Protege needs.
