GI: Projector Headlights.

I want projectors.. I want the housing blacked out.. 8000k HID's - willing to pay whatever it takes

I *highly* doubt that.

I can see 800 a pair for HID Projectors being a reasonable number tossed around....
It will cost alot of money to get something like this off the ground.

For most other cars, I'd say probably 150.. But when they first come out, probably closer to 200.

Any set of projectors you pay 200 dollars for are s***. In case you haven't seen them on the freeway they put out about 30% of the amt of light that the stock housings do. Don't expect to get a quality product if you are paying that much. I would say that a quality set for halogens would run around 500 and HID's around 900. You guys might also want to check out the How To since it can be done with much less money and fewer headaches without HID's. I would know I wrote it.

Not everyone can hack up their headlights though.. not everyone can be without headlights for a few days too while they're fiberglassing their own projectors into the factory units.. AND what if you **** up? Then you get to buy new headlights anyways.. I don't know how much they are, but something tells me OEM headlights are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$! I'd love to do my own HID projectors but, like most of the other people here, I don't have the time, resources, or place to do the work.

i have seen some projectors for Civics and Subarus that aren't ungodly expensive that put out a pretty good amount of light.. Then again Civics don't have great lights to begin with.. Of course the STi projectors (I think that's who does them) for the WRX are great.. They're really friggin expensive though.

The companies we're looking at now, I believe, are not going to do HID projectors because I'm sure they know that the price for them will mean they'll get very few buyers.. If I wanted HID, I'd just send off to HIDtech and get them to do it for 800 bucks.. The goal of this thread is to get people on a good projector setup that will work for halogen bulbs.. of course if they're bad then people won't buy them, but what makes you think that they HAVE to be 500 bucks for something good? The best stuff may be expensive, but great stuff isn't always the most expensive, either.
