GI / FS: fiberglass / carbon fiber sail panels / tweeter covers

why would you want these? what are the dimensions?
these have flanges bonded with hot glue and resin around the edges, so they offer more interior clearance than stock since theres no posts in the way. i can also increase the depth if required.

styling and options
fiberglass will be lightly sanded with 220 grit and will be ready to prime. carbon fiber will be sanded down to 2000 grit and be given a few coats of aerosol clear coat. depending on other orders i have at the time, i may use two-part automotive grade stuff. otherwise it will be general clear coat (probably acrylic lacquer).
additionally i will drill holes for your tweeters - i have done up to 1.5" OD with no clearance issues, and could probably fit close to 1.75" before clipping the edge of the panel. i would also attempt the MSP grille pattern.

pricing:
these take a considerable amount of work, so pricing for fiberglass is $45 dollars (unpainted) and $75 for carbon fiber. drilling/MSP cutout is free, shipping is $3 by USPS first class with tracking.

availability:
these are made to-order, and generally will ship about a week after the order is placed.

post it up if youre interested or if you have any questions.
heres some pics of some i did with the stock wrinkle effect

what's wrinkle? o_0....and you bumped the prices up by $10....lol, i guess since i requested mine somewhat custom...let me know when youre ready to make them, i have the money. fiberglass, unpainted

im confused. just checking to make sure you know... this is a different part, haha.
these are the tweeter covers/triangular pieces that go where the a-pillar meets the top of the door in the front. i hadnt released a price for these, so it makes me wonder if youre thinking of the eyelids...
and by the way - i thought i mentioned with all the custom work thats going into your eyelids that there will probably be an additional charge... i hope that isnt a surprise...

im currently working on a set for my mp3, im gonna wrap mine in the 3m carbon fiber wrap when i get them smoothed out

I would buy a set of stock looking fiberglass ones (im assumin thats what you mean by wrinkle)

Would you then cut the proper dimension hole out if I requested it, or would I be left to my own devices? (dremel and frustration)

yes, they have the same surface finish as stock.
are you just looking for a hole, or more like the cutout pattern like the MSP? i would be willing to try either, but if you want good fitament for the MSP mesh grille specifically, its going to take some time before i can deliver.

and by the way - i just dremmel to cut them, but im already used to the frustration:cool:

Yea im just looking for a hole (thats what she said), about 1 and 11/16ths inch diameter.
Not sure what you mean about the MSP.. right now I just have the blank panels. Its a 2002 P5, so it didnt have the tweet panels.

ah, i thought p5's had tweeters there. anyways its a triangle cut into the panel about a half inch away from the edge all the way around.

drilling the hole shouldnt be an issue, its time to invest in a good set of hole saws anyways. ill let you know if i think itll be an issue, but since ive got at least one person thats interested, i wont be sanding them anytime too soon.

wow, weird. my 03 p5 has tweeters

im curious but cant seem to figure out what your talking about. i would have to see what your trying to explain .

That's an awesome deal. I paid $150 to have mine custom made (with the wrinkle to look stock) cause I got the Infinity Kappa's and the tweeters were huge. Wish you posted this like 2 months ago.

haha, hopefully between the fiberglass wrinkle and the CF i'll sell more than one, otherwise mine would be 150 too. how about a pic?
